Pudge was always weak, people especially pros quicly adapted to this fact. Did he get buffed? Yeah maybe a bit but his ulti scales way worse now. So you have to be able to land hooks. Build order changed dramatically helps in most cases though.

Still for any truly good player its far too easy to shut down a pudge 100%. There is no pudge in the world that could give me a hard game.

pudge was not weak he was just to easy to read no more wards needed you know where he alwase is
