Antiseptic Snake Oil

Popis
By default (without this mod) Snake Oil does really NOTHING. Totally useless. And it's very useful if you install the mod.
http://dont-starve-game.wikia.com/wiki/Snake_Oil

The mod DOES NOT change the chance of drop. Klei set it to 0.66%.

How to get?
Just kill snakes. But keep in mind that this is a very rare thing.

Using
Use this oil for:
- Curing yourself. Each bottle of oil = 1 cure. Someday it may save your life.
- As an ingredient for crock pot (fat).
- Repairing a boat. Grease parts of your boat. Make it better.
- Antiseptic in any chest. Will save your food if you don't have icebox yet.
- Price: 24 dubloons.

Antiseptic
Yes, it's antiseptic. Store it in any container and your food will be spoiled not so fast. But it does not affect ice.
- Snake Oil does rotting for 50% more slowly.
- Snake Oil works in backpack OR in inventory. Put it in backpack if you want the smell was there.
- Anti Venom does rotting for 3% more slowly.
- Venom Gland -3%.
- Brain Cloud Pill -10%.
- Wine Bottle Candle -20%.
- Ancient Vase -30%.
- Minimum sum: -80%.

Disadvantages
- Monster Meat (raw) +1.5% faster.
- Each Rot or Manure in treasure chest does rotting for +3% more faster.
- Rotten Egg +5%.
- Mustiness +7%.
- Old Boot +50%.
- Maximum sum: +300% spoilage speed.

Mustiness
- It likes wet dark places and any food.
- Don't touch it! :) Penalty -5 sanity if you touch this.
- However you can protect your treasure chests from wetness using Palm Leaf Hut.
- Mustiness won't grow if antiseptic level is at least -20% (Snake Oil gives -50%).

Aura
- Rot, Manure, Rotten Egg, Mustiness have negative sanity aura.
- Snake oil has a little positive sanity aura.

Using Snake Oil as sealant
- Repair +150 health (-1 bottle of oil). Someday it may save your life.
- Makes your boat a little bit better.
- Maximum 5 upgrades.

Cooking
Well, now it has "fat" tag. So you can cook Lobster Dinner or Waffles using Snake Oil. Also you can just drink it: +25 hunger. One day it will save you from starvation.

Actually coconut has "fat" tag too. And this mod makes little fixes, so you can use it as "fat" too. Also it's... well... a nut. So it must be possible to make Trail Mix (with coconut flakes). And there are few more things... Nevermind. Just enjoy. :)

great mod finally gives a use to the snake oil that being said i still find it fitting that "snake oil" has no use in the actual game

This is mod and many others are proof that shipwrecked was a abandoned project from Klei, it's so unbalanced, frustrating and full of useless stuff that it almost feels like it's still il early acess

Coco NUT :)
You can use coconut in Trail mix because coconut is tropical and there is coconut meat.

Have you never heard of Snake Oil or a Snake Oil Salesman? Because you completely missed the point: it's supposed to be useless, worthless, do nothing, etc. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Snake_oil

Also, have you ever eaten coconut? It is a fruit and (rather clearly) not a nut https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coconut
