The Very Beginning
Just a Quick Prep
Sans is a very mysterious character. From what we can gather, he has mastered combat, teleportation, time travel, musical theory and performance, and a great taste in fashion, all while keeping a carefree facade to everyone he knows and loves, including his own brother. In the final fight with him during the Genocide run, most of this is revealed; however, we do ge a glimpse at Sans's true colors during the first hour of the game, before even reaching Snowdin town.
















The Crossword
Truly, the Monster Kidz Wordsearch is a metaphor of Sans himself. It appears undaunting - silly even - but something about it seems off: the words, the...uhh...thing at the bottom right?, or the dogface ice cube. Delving further provides more mystery, as well as a decent challenge. Perhaps solving this puzzle will reveal something about Sans himself? Undertale knows that you're going to see this wordsearch one way or another. But the select few who care to solve it may find something intriguing or groundbreaking. Much like the actual game, I recommend solving this before reading on. I have provided the image above. If you have difficulty solving it, however, I have provided some hints in this next section. Good luck!

What to Expect
The words you search for can take on many forms such as:
  • showing up vertically
  • showing up diagonally
  • showing up backwards
  • crossing with another word
  • a combination of these
Most likely, the small size of the puzzle gives it these properties. Another interesting thing is that 'giasfclfebrehber' is not actually found. it's location in the puzzle changed an 'e' to a 'u'. For now, I'm calling it a mistake on Toby's part, but I think we all know that this was not unintentional. Credits to refusalskills for discovering that 'cig' is an entirely seperate word from 'cigar'. I have once again been stumped by the great Sans Skeleton. It's comical how stumped I am. Comic Saaannnnss okay i give up...i cant even use capitals and apostrephes...

Well, that was...unsatisfying...
But hey! I did finally learn that the word 'snot' I found was actually the end of the backwards
'skeletons' word! And that puzzle was fun to solve.
So yeah! Papyrus doesn't give his brother the credit he deserves in puzzle making! Now I don't feel nearly as bad about killing him in my first run! If only Asgore made a wordsearch...

Ya know, the whole "Mystery" of Sans isin't that simple in my opinion. It goes to the last fallen humans, time travel, and even a bunch of secrets leading up to a even bigger mystery.

ALSO I JUST NOTICED that the words at the bottom are in Comic Sans, while the words above are in the normal game font, in all caps. Like the beginning of your encounter with Sans, when you think he's talking but it's not in his font, you can't hear any voices, and his face doesn't show up in the text box until AFTER you think about what you've done.

~Giasfclfebrehber (I hope I spelled that right) Is literally not in there. I thought it was, when I was searching, BUT it's not in there. The top line has a U in the middle instead of an E. That's the only difference, but that exact jumble of letters is not there. Unless I'm missing it completely. Which is interesting and it has got to have significance, unless Toby or whoever made this accidentally spelled it wrong. Which I don't think is the case.
ANYWAY Thanks for suffering through my ramblings. It's definitely a long shot and I'm probably reading to much into things, but it seems like this game is all about reading into things.
