When you died in battle, you thought it's the end and Valhalla was waiting for you. But instead, you woke up in a strange land full of dead warriors. This must be Niflheim. This is your final test - you have to fight your way through to reach Valhalla.

You start as Pyromancer. You need your Pyromancy Flame to become Berserk and you start with one Hand Axe, so you only need to get one more.

Start with Master Key to be able to get needed equipement just from the begining, without killing any boss. This way you can start as true Viking from the beginning, from Firelink Shrine.

• Royal helmet (kill Vamos to get it)
  
• Naked body (we are badass vikings, we don't need armor)
  
• Brigand gauntlets (found in Valley of Drakes)
  
• Eastern Leggins (Darkroot Garden loot)

• Hand Axe (starting weapon)
  
• Hand Axe (because one is not enough, available at Undead merchand)
  
• Caduceus Round Shield (found on graveyeard)

• Pyromancy flame (to enter Berserk madness)
  
• Power Within (Berserk mode)

• Red Tearstone Ring (found at Valley of Drakes)

• Estus Flask (Beer would be better but...eh)
  
• Humanity(Sweet sweet humanity)
  
• Homeward bone (even viking needs to go back sometimes)
  
• Firebombs (because we love to burn things)
  
• Any moss (Purple, blooming, bloodred)

• Red and White Round shield (drop from skelletons. If you find it, feel free to use it)
  
• Warrior's Round shield (bought at undead merchand)

• No healing while fighting (only cowards do that, and you are not coward, aren't you?)
  
• No retreat, you win or you die (once you agro enemy, you can't run away and you have to finish the fight. You either win, or you die. That's the destiny of Vikings)
  
• No shortcuts, no skips. Master key is just for getting the equipement needed. Play the game normaly, as was intended. (It also means fighting bosses in "canon" way...so no Ceaseless or BoC cheap tactics..)
  
• Weapons can be upgraded only in the basic/normal way.
  
• You can use anything to collect starting gear but you can't kill any boss or miniboss before starting run. Once you have all you need, you start from Firelink bonfire.
  
• You can start leveling just after starting the run, so not before while collecting gear.
  
• No summoning unless other Viking (ie another person doing this same run)

You enter berserk mode if:

• Red Tearstone ring is active
  
• You use Power Within

If you enter Berserk mode, you can't use your shield. You have to dual wield your axes, or two hand it.

As tought viking, we level just vitality, endurance, strength and resistance. Adding stats are controlled by the restriction of what stats you can increase and in what order:

• Vitality +1
  
• Endurance +1
  
• Strength +1
  
• Resistance +1
  
• Repeat

The reason the stats are controlled like this is so that the character develops evenly and is not stacked in one stat.

As you progress past certain bosses you will be able to use more items and enhance your Berserk Mode. After defeating:

• Charcoal Pine Resin while berserk
  
• Blue Tearstone ring available

• Iron Flesh
  
• Ring of evil eye

• Green Blossoms while berserk
  
• Ring of steel protection
  
• Black firebombs

• Battle Axe
  
• You can even buy two and dualwield

We have made this run to entertain us and at the begining just for ourselves. As we came with more and more ideas we started to write it down and in the end we decided to publish it. We haven't fully tested this, we are at the beginning too so we'll be glad for any feedback or sugestions..
