- Open the folder :
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\RAGE\base

- Create a text file, rename it to "Rageconfig.cfg" and copy-paste this text between the lines :

thanks much, but that FOV setting is terrible, i can see the inside of my arm when holding the sniper rifle, as the camera clips through my left arm

I can tell you that it's okay for that to happen, Valve never finished the viewmodels because changing the FOV wasn't supposed to be happening so in their next games they didn't allow it
(not even with sv_cheats) but they still had the command in the game.
Either way Valve never intended for you guys to do this.

you guys are literaly the dumbest people i've seen
either in launch options write "+exec rageconfig.cfg" (without the quotation) so it'll run all the time or every time you start the game write in the console "exec rageconfig.cfg" (without the quotation)

Sorry for necro-ing this, but according to wiki you need to put "seta" before any console commands, otherwise it doesn't work. And the Rageconfig.ini has to be a separate cfg file.

The rageconfig.cfg wont work for me. I put these settings right at the beginning of my default.cfg in the base folder.

Thanks what hardware and what characteristic of hardware cares the image_cacheMegs? I gues it is VRAM?
