If, for whatever reason, you missed the DNA scan for the Gorevorgg and it's the only thing preventing you from earning the Geneticist achievement, this short guide will show you how to acquire the Gorevorgg's DNA -- even if you've already killed it. Every achievement guide for Lost Planet 3 seems to think that "Geneticist" is a missable achievement due to the Gorevorgg only appearing once in the game, but it's actually not missable at all.

Here's how to save yourself from playing through this entire game again:

1. Travel to Bailey's Crossing.
   
2. Head to the structured area in the middle of Bailey's Crossing (with all the pneumatic pumps and such).

3. Use your magnetic grappling hook to fly up to the upper level of this area.
   .
   
4. In front of you, beneath the watchtower, should be a giant crab claw. This is the Gorevorgg's. Scan it to collect its DNA.

That's it. I haven't seen anyone else mention the existence of the Gorevorgg's claw, and like I said earlier, every achievement guide out there thinks your only chance to get the Gorevorgg's DNA is during the fight itself. Maybe they patched this in later -- I don't know. In any case, this discovery prevented me from playing through the game again, and hopefully this knowledge will help others.
