Omschrijving
The Cuman Empire

This mod adds the Cumans, led by Konchak!

The Cumans were a turkic people who once coexisted on the Eurasian Steppe with the Kipchaks. Despite never a fully unified force, their cultural and military sophistication made the Cuman Khanates a force to be reckoned with. They also exerted considerable political and cultural influence on different states around the globe, the famous Mamluks were of Cuman origin, and they founded a variety of dynasties in the Balkans.

Mod details

Leader-Konchak

Trait-"Polovtsian State Makers"

"+2 tourism from garrisons in puppeted cities. Upon the discovery of chivalry, worked pastures yield +1 tourism and +3 XP for military units built in the city (max +2 tourism) "

Unique unit-"Kipchak Mamluk"

"Replaces the Knight, no combat penalty upon attacking a city, yields +2 happiness if garrisoned in a puppeted city. Comes with a very fine 'tache"

unique unit-Chabani

"Replaces the Trebuchet, does not have to setup prior to firing and has 3 movement points, requires horses. -2 ranged strength but +2 combat strength. No sight penalty. May move after attacking. 50% damage against fortified units and cities instead of 200% damage against cities"

Strategy

The Cumans are certainly a wide civilisation. A good strategy would be to have a few developed core cities for supporting your military, with many less important, conquered and puppeted cities which should provide you with the pastures you need to power on to either a cultural or military victory! The two unique units are buildable at a similar time, and can be used to support one another, just make sure you have enough horses!

Supports-Core JFD's cultural diversity, YNAEMP, RED units, CIV IV leader traits, unique cultural influence, piety and prestige.

Please read the below!

-It takes a turn for many of the Cuman's tourism/happiness effects to come into place

Special thanks!

I'd still highly recommend you'd do it, since it's starting to become common practice in making Civs.

@Talpss177

E and D, unlike most mod support, is very complicated.

@axatoramus

Excuse me? I don't know where to begin with that, I mean, this is a mod adding the Cumans, not the Yenisei . . .
axatoramus 13 sep 2015 om 19:57
Yenisei are not Turkic, mister racist
MrC1065 13 sep 2015 om 16:00
It'd be much better if it did, since you need E/D to run Piety.

@Talpss177

Those are different mods, so no, it does not have any support for E and D, or any mods not mentioned in the support list.

Since it has compatabilty with Prestige and Sovreignty, does that mean it also has compatability with Events and Decisions, like does it have custom decisions and special events?

@ajheather

Glad you liked it, I was looking for a Steppe civ to do, and the Cumans certainly piqued my interest.

Ryanjames, I think I remember suggesting the Cuman as mod. Thanks for making!
