Collecting Resources
The first thing you want to do is find Quartz. It's a powerful resource that will allow you to make various resources such as Glass and Silicone which are VITAL To making fins that allow you to swim fast

Quartz is fairly easy too find and doesn't take much challenge

Quartz can be found in the following biomes:

Safe Shallows (Near where the player spawns)
Sparse Reef
Kelp Forest
Grassy Plateaus
Underwater Islands
Dunes
Grand Reef

Did you know Quartz and Titanium make a Locker? You have to have the Builder tool which I will explain later.

Salt is a vital resource needed for eating fish. It can be found near the Escape Pod the player spawns in.

Yes I said it! You will need Food.

You are going to need to Drink Water (H20) As well. Don't worry Water is easy to find

Entities.
There are many entities in the game

Many of them are terrifying in their own way.

Ranging from Small Fish such as Eyeye's and Peepers to monsters such as Reefbacks and Reaper Leviathans these are all very unique creatures.

An image of a Reefback.

There are small fish such as Spadefish and Peepers, You need to eat them to survive. But you need Salt.

Then there are fish like the Reefback and the Jellyray, Fish that cannot be collected or eaten by the player but instead Pose a threat to the player if Provoked (Except the Reefback)

Airsack: A small fish that can be eaten, It is very common to see in the Grassy Plateaus and the Safe Area.

Biter Fish: A hostile fish that lives near the Islands and in Caves.

Bleeder:A Hostile fish that sucks blood from the player.

Blood Biter: A zombie like fish that acts exactly like the Biter.

Bone Shark: A fish that behaves like the Stalker, It attacks players and attempts to kill them.

Boomerang, An edlble fish that is found in the Safe Area and the Grassy Plateaus.

Biomes
The Floater Islands (atmosphere biome) are a special type of biome that currently only exists towards the southwest of the Aurora.

One can teleport to this biome by typing "Biome Islands" into the Console.

It is a large island carried entirely by giant Floaters, which are located underneath the island. It can be accessed from one of its several beaches or via the "eye" at its center. The island can be fully explored on foot and features a large variety of plants, including trees, grass, flowers, and mushrooms. However, at the moment, none of the plants can be harvested. Scattered across the island, Lithium crystals can be found. In some areas, sounds typical to rainforests can be heard, including singing birds and rain.

The Safe Shallows are usually the first biome that the player sees when they get out of their Escape Pod.

Simply hearing the name "Safe Shallows" summons up images of an exquisite tropical paradise. With coral reefs sprawling over a gigantic area of ocean, the reality is just as exciting. Safe Shallows offers a wealth of different experiences for the player. Countless small tunnels and caves with an exotic variety of fauna and flora are just a few things the Safe Shallows has to offer.

The Safe shallows are very shallow and home to mostly peaceful life forms. They are characterized by a richness in flora and fauna, sandy ground and a porous seabed riddled with caves. Most of the raw materials found there are very low-level.

Kelp forests are underwater areas with a high density of kelp. They are recognized as one of the most productive and dynamic ecosystems on this planet. The Kelp Forest is a region most known for Stalkers and its thick Kelp vegetation, most notably the Creepvine, giving it a very greenish color. Creepvine plants can reach as far up to breach the surface of the sea and are extremely useful for regenerating hunger and thirst.

Kelp Forests are found at medium depth and home to mostly peaceful life forms. They are characterized by a richness in greenish flora and fauna, grassy ground and a sandy seabed riddled with caves. Most of the raw materials found there are medium-level, like the harvesting nodes, Sandstone and Limestone.

This Biome ranges is from a depth of 15 meters in Safe Shallows transition to Kelp Forest, and extends down to 150 meters in northern Kelp Forest that spans to the Mushroom Forest.

The Mushroom Forest is a biome located 125 to 200 meters below sea level.

It is characterised by large tree-like coral structures and brownish grass on the ground. The biome towards the northwest is dominated by a single Giant Coral Tree with a Mushroom Forest Cave inside.

Contents[show]
Coral Trees Edit
The Coral Trees consist of a tall coral stem with mushroom caps protruding branch-like from them. The trees grow to different heights and can grow up to 100 meters tall. The largest Coral Trees often have basalt chunks at the top. Some of them will also grow lithium on their bark.

The player can break off the mushroom caps by hitting them with the Survival Knife or colliding with them while driving a submarine, causing them to slowly drift to the ground. Currently the mushroom caps drop an item called Tree Mushroom Piece.

Giant Coral Tree Edit
The Mushroom Forest is dominated by a single Giant Coral Tree. Its roots spread throughout the entire forest that it is in.

This Giant Coral Tree is unique in various ways. Not only can dozens of basalt chunks be found on its stem, top, branches, and roots, but it is also the only Coral Tree that is accessible by the player. Apart from a small cave at its base, there is also a larger cavern that goes all the way from the top to the base of the tree, with two entrances located at the top and the base. In this cave, more basalt chunks and plants native to the Mushroom Forest can be found, with Grue Clusters and Tree Leech lighting the way.

Due to the depth of the cave and the resulting drowning hazard, it is strongly recommended to navigate the Seamoth into it. However, this can be rather difficult due to all the Mushrooms.

The Sparse Reef is a biome located southwest of the Escape Pod. It is composed of relatively flat areas covered by green mounds with Brain Coral on them as well as deep fissures with plants that emit light and Spike Plants. There are also pillar-like structures found in the Sparse Reef, they are mostly found along the border of the Sparse Reef next to the Grassy Plateaus, one side that is under the Floater Island bordering the Grand Reef and the unassigned Biome.

The Deep Grand Reef is a large cave that is covered with orange and blue coloured matter. It is found under the Grand Reef biome. It is home to Floating Stones and Membrane Trees.

At the deepest point in the Deep Grand Reef there is a cave that leads to the Inactive Lava Zone... Are you ready?

Vehicles
There are only 3 vehicles in the game so far.

Seamoth ( A minisub that acts as a Landspeeder from Star Wars)

Cyclops (A Big sub about the size of a Reefback that can be edited)

Seaglide ( A faster version of the Seamoth)

There will be a new vehicle added to game

Exoskeleton (Acts as armor against a Reaper Leviathan and can fly)

Not much is known about the Vehicles so far but as Subnautica updates more. The more we will find out.

Did you know going near a volcano with a Vehicle will not kill you? Just don't get to a Volcano in Person.
Tips and Facts
Facts and Tips:

If you see a Stalker, Swimming away from it will grant you good

Don't try to fight a Reaper Leviathan, It will outlast you easily.

You will most likely see a Reaper Leviathan near the Aurora,

There is a real planet with nothing but Water much like Subnautica,

You should find Scrap Metal which is needed to make Titanium on the Ocean Floor

The Reefback is the largest marine creature in the game, Even bigger than the Reaper Leviathan!

Plants are considered Life Forces on the Subnautica Wiki which is true in real life

The term: Reaper Leviathan: Could be a reference to Mass Effect's Reaper Leviathan.
