cp_overgrown is a 2cp map a new custom overgrown South American jungle villa resort theme, created originally for the TF2Maps.net 2015 Summer 72hr Mapping Contest, and later updated in collaboration with Pear, for your consideration in the summer 2023 update!


The map features a train mechanic, where, after capturing first point, attackers can ride the train into a flank route deep in enemy territory.

Crash: Original design/ logic/ layout, detailing, refinement, optimization, clipping.
Pear: Massive gameplay redesigns, custom theme artpass, Overgrown pack custom models/ materials, detailing.
Void: Logo, custom soundscape, material blends.
Fuzzy: Custom materials.
Frontline team: Various windows and door props.
E-Arkham: Tree leaf props base (modified by Pear).

To load the map locally, subscribe, open the game, open the console with ~ (you may have to enable this in the settings), and type "map workshop/503939302" without the quotes.

Heya! The packed-in nav mesh has a few issues in it, most notably a huge problem that causes bots to get stuck on the bridge that extends after A is captured. I've fixed that particular issue and cleaned up the mesh as a whole if you're interested at all!

Seems like there's something they do on the backend when new maps get in that resets things and the workshop is funky for a week or so after, showing old maps like they are new

It's not about that, it's the fact that the more bad content there is in the game, the worse of a game it becomes. With the higher concentration of bad maps that have been added, it'll be easier for a new player to have a worse impression of the game. It lowers the overall quality
