Welcome to my humble guide!

Shipwreck has 14 achievements. There are basically two kinds of achievements: story achievements and finding achievements. None of them are missable: you can always go back for anything you might have missed.

11 of the achievements are story achievements, so you'll get them by playing along the story.
2 are finding achievements. You have to find all seven (7) heart pieces that give you extra life and there's one special treasure that is an achievement to find.

Finally, you get the achievement "Completionist" for doing everything above.

This section tells you where to go and what to do to get the specific story achievement. I also give a couple of tips against the bosses. If you find it hard to beat the bosses, buy all the food you can get. There's no other use for gold but at the sword and bow trainers.

Armed and Ready: The first achievement you'll get. Sword is on the beach in the first screen.

Protection: Beat the first dungeon (Seaside Cave) to get the shield. You need to beat the crab boss. It attacks slowly with its claws when you get close. Get close, hit it to the face and go back before it hits you back.

After Seaside Cave find yourself to the town and go to Inn to sleep. During the rain all other doors are locked. Then go visit mayor. Or whatever: this is a good time for doing some exploration. When you are ready, go east and find yourself to the second dungeon, Ancient Hollow.

Seal of Life: Beat the second dungeon (Ancient Hollow). You need to beat the crow statue boss. Try to stay under it and hit him with the sword. Keep your shield up, so as to bounce off when he jumps on you.

There's going to be rain again. Go to inn to proceed and then you have to visit mayor again. Then go back east, but explore northern part of the area.

Long Range: Complete the sword training at one of the buildings out there in the east to get the bow. You might need a couple of tries as the traps can surprise you. Remember to use your shield.

Rock Breaker: Visit the miners. They'll give you pick-axe if you've talked to mayor after getting Seal of Life.

Light in the Dark: Loot the upstairs of the miners' house to get lantern.

Now you've got everything to go to third dungeon, Crystal Mine. You'll need lantern to see in the dark and to light torches.

Seal of Earth: Beat the third dungeon (Crystal Cave). You need to beat the rock giant monster. He can only be harmed by pick-axe. Block the stones he throws with your shield. After he has finished, go and nip at him with pick-axe and run away, because he'll do a close-range area attack when approached. I found it useful to go to his left side and attack from there.

There's going to be rain again. Sleep at inn and visit mayor, who's gone north of town to the lighthouse. Then go west of town. You can do the water and sand dungeons in your chosen order.

Seal of Water: Beat the Veiled Caverns dungeon. You have to beat the swamp boss. He goes around, shoots green water blasts at you and then a bunch of slimes. Block blasts with shield, kill slimes with sword and then shoot the boss with bow when he appears. If you want to play safe, shoot once and then proceed to block all the blasts instead of dodging and trying to shoot him again.

Seal of Time: Beat the Forgotten Time dungeon. You have to beat the worm boss. It just goes around and occasionally stops and plunges at you. Hit it with sword when it goes by and get far off it when it stops and plunges towards you.

It starts raining again. This time you are transferred to the last dungeon, the lighthouse. It's the largest and hardest as a puzzle.

Hero of the Island: Beat the ghost of the lighthouse. He teleports around you and shoots arrows at you. Shoot him with more arrows or go and beat him with sword. If you are able, block his arrows with the shield.

You're on a Boat: After beating the ghost go south-east of the town to the shoreline and talk to the captain of the ship to leave the island. You can load the game afterwards if you missed something and want to go back for it.

Full of Heart: Find all heart pieces.

There are 7 heart pieces in the game. Each of the dungeons (except Lighthouse) has one, and in addition there are 2 in the outside world.


Heart piece at farm

The first piece can be found by going to the farm south-east of town.

Detailed instructions: Start from the entrance of the town (the one with the first house). Then follow the sequence: south, east, south, south, east, north (or SESSEN). You'll come to the farm house:



Go inside. The heart piece is in a chest upstairs.

Price of bow training

The second piece is acquired by successfully completing the bow training after you get the bow (it should be obvious but it's in the same building as the sword training). It costs 50 gold to try. By completing it you get a heart piece.


Every dungeon has one heart piece. In total there are 5 pieces in the dungeons. Usually there's some trick to getting it. Once you find a map, you can see the heart symbol on the map showing the location of the heart.

Seaside Cave heart piece
I don't think there was anything particularly special about getting this heart. Just follow the map and get the heart piece.

Ancient Hollow heart piece
Check which room the heart piece is. There's a chest there, containing the heart piece. Go to the room above it and jump down the hole to reach the chest. A picture (protagonist next to the correct hole):



Crystal Mine heart piece
There's a secret room in the west part of the floor B2. To get in hit the (clearly marked) wall with your pick-axe and go through the opening to get an additional small key. This gets you into the heart room.

Veiled Caverns heart piece
Get to the heart room and kill all the slime balls and the sniper crocodile monster to get the heart.

Forgotten Time heart piece
Once you find the disappearing tiles labyrinth, maneuver through it. In the middle of the labyrinth there's a chest with a heart piece.

Consolation: Find the secret treasure of the Lighthouse.




On the last floor of the Lighthouse before the boss, the floor F4, there's a room with a hole. The hole leads you downstairs to a room you haven't visited yet. Jump down and claim your prize.
