The Queens will not only switch the direction, but also the suit of the card they are played on. For example, if you played a Queen of Spades on an Ascending 8 of Hearts, it would switch to a Decending 8 of Spades, allowing you to play cards lower than it, or higher if they're of Spades.
The other thing about Jokers is that they act differently when played on Aces. Instead of removing all Aces on the table (excluding the Ace it was played on), it will remove all cards of the Ace's suit! (Again, excluding the Ace it was played on) This probably won't be helpful unless you choose not to use a certain suit in your deck, but just note it can happen. I'll have to double check, but I don't think it applies to face cards.
Anyways, good guide. Excellent use of examples.
