Before jumping in what you need to know:

Most Importantly for beginners is that in the first 5 waves (Morning) killing the weakest units are worth 20$ with the Golden Guitar, 30$ for the next kind of Unit, and finally 60$ for the Unit who shoots 3 Larger Red Balls. You will only earn half of that without the Golden Guitar

Starting off in the game you have very little money.

Right off the bat what do you do?

Well if you have experience in these kind of games go on Insane mode because you earn much more Gold much quicker for a faster but more difficult gameplay. If you are new to this kind of game, start with Normal.

Start with the Story to get a feeling of the game and use only wizards until you unlock better units.
Keep playing story or survival for only about 15-30minutes without using your money. Especially on survival you should be able to get 5000$ quite quickly and right away you want to buy the Golden Guitar.


You will earn 2x the Coin. Same thing where you want to use only wizards in Story for now or go on survival and use your skill/basic game knowledge and earn enough to go in the Town section of the Shop. You are going to want to buy the Town Pet and he's quite cheap so i suggest upgrading him to a second star and the third star is a waste of money right away so leave that until later in the game unless you feel its urgent that you feed a racoon bacon...

You've now begun your Quest to Millionaire!

After you have the basics (Golden Guitar and Town Pet)

Now its time to play the game. If you are choosing to get money through story then read this Section. If you are choosing to get money through survival then skip this section.

In story the fastest way to make money would be the bosses. Play the story out of Day 1 and if you are pretty new you will have a bit of difficulty killing the first boss but once you do then you can start grinding. Continue to replay the Morning making about 4000$ in just 5 waves. With all that money use it to upgrade your Wizards a few Stars. Move on to Noon and beating that boss can earn you up to about 13000$ in total after the first 10waves. Replaying that a few times doesnt take more then 30minutes and you will be able to upgrade your personal favorite units (I suggest Black Mages and Ninjas)

Continue with defeating the bosses and only you know which boss you need to be grinding.
Simply playing the game earns you new units, so theres no need worrying about unlocking certain units quickly. Just continue playing with some music in the background for a while and you'll be loaded in no time.

You need no Upgrades at all in Survival, just skill

Now its time to play the game. If you are choosing to get money through survival then read this Section. If you are choosing to get money through story then go back a section.

Survival is a fun section so its really not to difficult to play it for another 20-30minutes. Gameplay in survival can get you a new unit (Meat Stack) he is decent but i wouldn't suggest upgrading him. In Survival things start simple but the best thing you can do is always leave one unit off in the distant incase all you others die, same with bacon try to leave one for whenever you are close to death then there will always be bacon at your disposal.


Of course Story is much faster to earn Coin but Survival can be less tedious and if you are going to use Survival, then you should know your best unit is the Ninja. If you can get a couple ninjas you can leave the other units there for incase you need them if the ninjas die because having little units can be okay. Have just you and two ninjas makes it easier to dodge enemys and they are powerful and quick enough to keep up with you.


Same as in Story you need to Kill the bosses for the most Loot possible and dont let the whole map get to crowded or your Loot hunt will turn into you running in circles avoiding everything trying to survive and you will barely make any Coin at all.

This is a Guide for Starting the game and making the fast Coin right away. This is not for anything past Day 1.

But I do suggest doing the same grinding on Day 2 because you can easily make 80000$ in Day 2 without breaking a sweat. Also a few more things, I personally suggest the black mages, ninjas and the third unit can be a personal choice but i jump between engineer and shaman. Once you reach Day 2, drop the black mages and start using the most advanced units like ninjas, engineers and shamans. Some personal preferences for certain people would be a tank and healer combination. Beating the campaign then unlocks two more summon slots and I'd recommend a loadout of Storm knights, ninjas, tanks, healers and your own personal preference.
