satisfying puzzle. Had to methodically think backwards and then it was not too hard. I don't really know why you use the laser setup instead of a simple button. it does not add anything to the puzzle (but also does not take anything away). I give this level a fav

Hint 1:
Did you notice you can go into the room with the vertical exit button using a reversed tractor beam?

Hint 2:
Do you know the island with the button that disables the fizzler next to it? If you can get there with a cube and a reversed tractor beam you will be able to leave that island with a backdoor portal behind the fizzler and with the cube as well.

Hint 3:
You can jump the gap from the room with the tractor beam to the room with the laser while keeping your backdoor portal into the room with the vertical exit button. Use the power of velocity!

I knew exactly what to do the entire time. I knew how to get one of the cubes back the entire time. I just stood in all the wrong places the entire time. This is a wonderful puzzle. Thank you very much for making it.

So cool and good. As someone said below I got really snagged on the grating pit beneath the big fizzler, when I solved it I could not figure out why it was there.
