just want to share some starting advices:

0. where to put my level up points? i suggest into attack - its the only way to speed up the game permanent (Def does not work for elemtal attacks ... Def iss a valuable option but i prefer att because of the eles )

1. Open Red Treasures - added this point after finding that random generated floor:

1.1 get : Transmutation - you find something special new? save it for the next run! re-run till you got all you want by reenter with the angel Wings. Use items that have manareg!!!

2. get "mana Reg" - you can have 2 same entchants on 1 item ! you need to reenter the forge after adding the first - then reenter and add the secound
(Shop level 30 40 and 60 70 have manareg items ... you can transmute them for later if needed)

3. after you got enough manareg crap Heal, Revalealer and the exp + notes (they are not really worth it - but you need tons of exp to skill all the trees - so maybe its handy)
3.1: Dragon's Blessing (ring) gives you 25% Bonus exp:
M0mdeck: you can get him from the wounded soldier.
(Wounded soldier appears from floor 30+ I belive, you will obtain "Dragon's Blessing" after donating Ultimate Potion to him. Ultimate potion can be obtained by giving alchemy material "Blue Berries" to a guy in tavern.)

4. End a run:
a. transmute items you need your own and equip them
b. transmute large potions and pick axes
c. use wings and check the museum
d. equip artifacts after checking the museum
d. choose your starting level and sell everything that is not an potion, pickaxe or manareg crafting item to the vendor.

Random Infos:
Blue Jungle Berries you can buy from the Vendor (Floor 40)

Co-Contributor suggestions:

I don't want to cut into the original input, so I'll just put my two cents in below:

Adding physical defense over time help you get closer to pre-newgame+ invincibility, but for that, your best bet is to get lucky with getting hero items that have the best base stats. Before starting ng+0, I had a build that only required me to swap helmets every time I faced tortured spirits due to them having 100 dark attack. Other than that, when I was ready, nothing on the last 20 floors could touch me at all.

What's important about being able to grind the last 20 floors all day is that the majority of the best crafting items come from those floors, but only floors 45-59 and shops 60-70 have the mortimus iron needed for the best mana regen.

In addition to the usual 5 stat gems sold by gem merchants, now included are skill point gems. They are more expensive, but worth it. (provided you don't dump too many of them into the infinite gold drop stat which will make it harder for them to pay for themselves)

Starting from either floor 69 or 79, it's also where the artifact merchant has the last artifacts and is your best chance for the last few slots. Thanks to him, only the early and midgame artifacts should be giving you trouble, as well as finding 6 assassin rings for instant kill and dodge. You can also do a quick junk sell right before floor 100.

After getting newgame+, it was within the 50s that I started losing health again due to excess enemy physical attack. The XP value of each enemy is quite generous the more NG+'s you make too.

Eventually, maxing out tree sections opens 2 infinite stats per section. The combat section has defense and attack. the crafting section has gold drop and health. the magic section has MP and magic.

Health regen stats on items seem tempting, but it turns out that the magic stat, in addition to boosting elemental attacks (the ones that cost 7 MP per use) also improves the heal spell and even all non-crafted potions. Eventually with enough grinding, health regen will be rather niche, being useful only when you want to save a little MP for transmutations and reveal.

Keep in mind, to craft the best potions, you don't just need 2 of the same item, but one must be transmuted and the other must not be transmuted. After that, you can craft and transmute pure potions for much easier times in future runs.

For grinding all the consumable items you will ever need, have high item drop stats while fighting the following enemies: Acid Flowers on floors 21-31 or tortured spirits on floors 94-99 for large mana potions (the latter may also drop monster souls which are best for XP bonus). Dark Wyverns on floors 89-99 for large and medium health potions. Mimics on floors 49-59 or emerald dragons for magic pickaxes (the latter may also drop dragon scale mail which you can transmute and take to each NG+ to get the next agony stone a little faster).

That said, don't sacrifice too much elemental defense to improve item drop stats. staying alive is far more important.

One more thing, be careful for now. There is a bug that occasionally make entire stacks of crafting items vanish beyond recovery. Take advantage of the file import/export feature while you can. EDIT: this bug is most likely patched. Check the developer's patch notes to be sure.

Crafting Items
This section includes the crafting goods that are the best ones to grind for various reasons. Most have max stats based on the yellow bars, and a few are not quite there, but are better than anything found in the game like Malachite and Mortimus Iron.

Note: the crafted item slot stats are doubled if they are made into potion slots instead and again remember, to craft the best potions with both slots having the same boosts, one item must be transmuted and a duplicate must not be transmuted.

One more thing: it turns out you cannot expect the best results from the best potions if you drink the best one while the effects of any weaker ones are still active. For example, a geode potion and amethyst scale potion, both of which boost physical defense, will mesh and cancel each other out into a potion effect weaker than what would be if you just drank the amethyst potion. Don't drink anything with active stats unless you're stacking a best potion onto another best potion.

In bold are items that have the best (the way I see it) contributions to your fight(s) against the final bosses. All final bosses use dark magic attacks, but the final bosses of Story Mode, Monster's Lair, Labyrinth, and Green Goo use fire, ice, wind, and light attacks respectively.

Agony Stone: Instant Kill
Alien Aura Gem: Magic
Amethyst Scale: Physical Defense
Bloodstone Shard: Bleed
Cyclops tears: Critical Hit Chance

Dino Skull: Fire Defense (Story)
Cyclops Tears: Physical Attack
DragonBlood/Tears: Fire Attack (Monster's Lair and Green Goo's Quest)
Dragon Tears: HP Regen
Dry Ice: Ice Attack

Frightened Spirit: Life Drain
Ghostly Mist: Dark Defense
Golden yarn: Gold Bonus (Good for a one-time +2000 gold drop)
Heart of Darkness: Dark Attack
Lightning Crystal: Wind Attack

Malachite: Wind Defense (Labyrinth)
Monster Soul: XP Bonus
Mortimus Iron: MP Regen
Mountain Root: Earth Attack (Labyrinth)
Ogre Tears: Item Drop Chance

Penguin Feet: Ice Defense (Monster's lair)
Transdimensional Poop: Dodge Chance
Turtle Shell: Earth Defense
Unicorn Poop: Light Defense (Green Goo's Quest)
Wisp Dust: Light Attack (Story)

If I'm missing anything here, please comment on it.
this is the END ... not
Instant Kill is a valuable option to rush new game + floors:
per game you can get 1 agony stone - its a trade-quest in town (Dragon Scale Mail against agony stone)
It gives (16%) instant Kill with maxed skill tree
(The Spider, Yeti, Sorcerer/Necromancer and The Summoned are ALL IMMUNE against the insta-kill stat)

Weapon: Death Dagger 2%
Shield:
Helmets:
Body Armor: Ninja Gear 4%
Leg Armor:
Boots:
Hand Armor: Assasin Gloves 5%
Accessories: 3 assasin rings with 5% each = 15%
=26%
%base = 26%
pot % = 26%

NG0= 42 (7 slots used 1xsword2%, 1xBody5%, 1xhand5%, 3xring5% 1xring16%)
NG1= 58 (8 slots used 1 sword2 1 Body5 1 hand5 3 ring5 2ring16)
NG2= 74 (9 slots used 1 sword2 1 Body5 1 hand5 3 ring5 3ring16)
NG3= 90 (10 slots used 1 sword2 1 Body5 1 hand5 3 ring5 3ring16 1 x16)
NG4= exchange sword with any other "agony Sword" and Body armor exchanged = +14 -5= +9 =100 (9 slots used 1 sword16 1 hand5 3 ring5 3ring16 1 x16)
NG5= Overenchant 1 Ring with agony and - now pick an Hand Armor of your chooise = 106 (8 slots used 1 sword16 2 ring5 4ring16 1 x16)
NG6= 112% (7 slots used 1 sword16 5ring16 1 x16)

At the moment you need NG 4 to reach 100%+ instant kill -at NG 6 you get 100+ IK with only 7 insteed of 9 slots

Question: is there any other agony stone source ?
(Hint: reentering the combat with a mop also gives a secound/third/... instant kill chance)

For Boss fights (The Spider, Yeti, Sorcerer/Necromancer and The Summoned are immun against IK) Doge is the best option is the best option. For crafting, grind Transdimesional Poop which has a maximum of 3% per slot with max efficiency:

Weapon: Steel Defender 9%
Shield: free 6%
Helmets: free 6%
Body Armor: Magician's Vest/Void Armor 8%
Leg Armor: Hero Chausses 9%
Boots: Ninja Shoes 8%
Hand Armor: shadow gloves 9%
Accessories: 3 assasin rings with 8% each = 24%
=79%
5%base = 84%
pot 12% = 96%
4% hits = (100/4) = 25x longer life

Co-Contributor:

Check out this short clip of the end of NG+6 for an idea of what to expect from the Summoned and one way to be prepared. Even with the high amount of bleed this guy has, it seems that and life drain (as decimate is now called) will become increasingly niche with each NG+. In the end, it's all about how much time you want to spend grinding and preparing, and also how many extra skill points you dump into those infinite stats. /www.youtube.com/watch?v=jiOrNuVQxbg

The armor of the player and attack of the Summoned seem to imply that the elemental attack of the Summoned either doesn't grow at all or grows so slowly over new games that it will take 100 NG+'s and a lot of negligence to dump stat points into infinite health and armor to be one-shot anytime soon.

Missing Drop Informations or other advices are Welcome :)

It says 89-99 because I changed it as soon as the mistake was pointed out.

I'd say thanks for catching it and call it a day, but I have seen fit to report the comment for unnecessary rudeness instead.

is it that hard to not tell me i wasted your time ? next time check the guide it tells 88-99 ... and before you asked i did change nothing
saucedealer 22 Oct, 2023 @ 8:38am
the assassin ring drop place is wrong, it still drops there but i was able to get an assassin ring on floor 95 which implies it drops on 9x too, this list has wasted a lot of hours from me trying to get it on 88-89

this guide is borderline unreadable gibberish. it looks like it was typed up by an 8 year old.

Status Update: FINALLY; made it to the Demon King's floor in Monster's Lair. I have uploaded screenshots of his bestiary entry and commented his lines.

Next stop: Demon Emperor in Green Goo' Quest.

After that: maybe I'll actually try to beat the Demon bosses themselves.
Demimind  [author] 25 Oct, 2021 @ 8:46pm
Status update: I'm pretty sure I caught all the mistakes, but I'm still open to requests to quadruple-check any I may have missed.

I've been pretty stuck progressing through Monster's Lair to find out the Demon King's lines. Thing is even though there's only 50 floors, every type of enemy appears about 5-10 floors earlier than in Story mode and the crowds are massive (good for grinding though). I'm working on the forest floors now, gathering as many potions and pickaxes as I can. They are a must in this tricky mode. Labyrinth was not so bad, just a bit of reduced vision; nothing a Reveal spell can't fight. Green Goo is mostly the same story as ML; stuck trying to get good items without taking unnecessary risks.

I have also discovered that some NPCs only appear once whether you interact with them or not, like the dying soldier who gives the dragon's blessing ring.
Demimind  [author] 27 Aug, 2021 @ 9:59am
Just tried that, didn't work. Maybe I can upload snipping tool images of their lines.
Eggility  [author] 25 Aug, 2021 @ 3:14pm
in Option you can change scrren shoot button - maybe that works?
Demimind  [author] 25 Aug, 2021 @ 2:23pm
I think when I can, I will also share screenshots of the other bosses. I cannot share screenshots of their lines because apparently, pressing F12 makes it skip each instance.
Demimind  [author] 25 Aug, 2021 @ 2:23pm
The update's been out for years, Eggility. I just didn't get around to covering it for almost as long and only focused on the story mode even after you gave me editing permission. For a while, I left well enough alone because the poorly maintained wiki had coverage of the final bosses for Monster's Lair and Green Goo's Quest, but wasn't clear on Labyrinth, so I returned to this game to find out for myself.

It might take me a while to cover everything, but nowhere else has a properly nuanced guide of the other modes, so I'm still committed to this guide. My main goal now is to find out the scripted lines of the final bosses of Monster's Lair and Green Goo's Quest. I'm also looking to make absolutely sure that the Dodge and Instant Kill stats are still up to date. I still have just 1 runthrough of Story mode and am still looking for artifacts to fill the museum and prepare for my first real recurring NG+.
