Fish, Effects, and Stats
Feeding your pet fish, which can be caught in fishing holes in towns or dungeons or purchased from vendors, will transform your cat or dog into one of the creatures you encounter through the game. This has an effect, either positive or negative, on your pet's base stats.

Here is what each fish does:

Dream Pet Achievement
In order to get the Dream Pet achievement, you have to use each of the fish (excluding Dogfish) to transform your pet at least once through the game. The duration of the effect does not matter.

The final transformations come by giving your pet the potions granted by restoring the statues in the Temple of Fate. Gathering the items needed for the hero statues in each of the dungeons and restoring the items to each statue grants the player a potion, which then transforms their pet into the form of the hero in the statue.

The required items are:

Dungeon of Typhon
  • Argonaut's Ring
  • Argonaut's Buckle
  • Argonaut's Helm
  • Argonaut's Sword
  • Argonaut's Shield
  • Argonaut's Chain

Dungeon of Druantia
  • Swathe's Ring
  • Swathe's Buckle
  • Swathe's Helm
  • Swathe's Sword
  • Swathe's Shield
  • Swathe's Chain

The items should be somewhere in their respective dungeons, within the first 28 levels. Whenever you enter a level where one of the heroic items are hidden, you will be aware of the item's presence:

And in your inventory, the items are marked with a capital H, so hopefully you don't accidentally get rid of them:

Note: I actually got the Dream Pet achievement after restoring only one of the statues and giving my pet the potion, after having used each of the fish at least once as well.

You should also earn the Prince of Thieves achievement once you restore both statues, since it requires that you "Recover and return to the statues all the stolen equipment of the legendary heroes from Druantia and Typhoon."

Oh, this is for more than I thought. I'm not sure if my game is glitched, but my rainbow moonfish have different images for different durations

This list of fish is complete, including the un-necessary dogfish, as well as, YOU NEED TO COMPLETE A STATUE. You could however only complete one statue and seemingly get the Dream Pet achievement. I.E You can get Dream Pet before Prince of Thieves.

Luminette fish update according to fate the traitor soul wiki

Luminette
Transforms the pet into an Hill Ogre, the most powerful of the three "ogres" pets. Able to take on most enemies with little challenge, the Hill Ogre has enough Strength to kill an enemy but not a boss, but still has enough killing power for most enemy types. [In Undiscovered Realms, this transforms the pet into an Ebony Stalker.]

I just got the Dream Pet achievement yesterday. I can confirm that, at least as of now, you need to get one of the hero transformations to get this achievement. You cannot just get all of the fish transformations. I tried that and it did not work.

Dream Pet was my first achievement. Just bought one of each fish from the shop and fed them all to my pet. Cost me about 25k coins.

I got the achievement without the statue transformations. You only need the fish
Vagrant326 28 Jul, 2019 @ 7:00am
@Praxis @DerElder No, You don't need Statues. You just need to feed pet with all fish. If You want proof, check my Fate achievements' dates. I got Dream Pet few days before Prince of Thieves

Btw, I seem to recall getting the Dream Pet award without doing the Statues thing ... but then, it's been quite a whiler since I played this. I need to go back and finish the whole quest :Norse:

Good job on this tabulation, Praxis :ok_abs:.

I never bothered tryng to remember all that ... too complicated, I guess :steamfacepalm:.
But I kept multiple numbers of each type fish I caught until I had them all. Once I transformed PET into the Scorpfeline, I wouldn't transform her again until I caught {or already had} another Stingerfish.

Anyway, Scorpfeline gets my vote for the best Pet. It's strong and fast and gets the Pet job done for me :CatTopHat:
