Just beware you wont be able to farm sheep or geese here if you choose a certain option during the Baron / Witches of the bog questlines. Believe you may still farm here if you follow through with what the witches tell you to do, I chose the other option and came back to Downwarren to find it barren of sheep and geese. Atlas both are horrible options for your morals :D

If you find their spawn point and stand away from it
you can spam your crossbow and kill them as soon as they spawn, repeat for 10 minutes and you go over there will be a pile of a few hundred meat and sheep skin.

spend a lot of time looking for sheeps around Downwarren, sadly i found none :/

It's probably better to farm the Geese in the same town during daylight hours, they drop two sources of food, Raw meat and eggs. Raw meat drops 100%. They respawn every couple of seconds, in fact so fast by the time i killed the pack of 3 geese and ran to the other pack about 10 paces away they respawned. Use Igni to save weapon durability. Takes about 10-15 minutes to get around 150+ raw meat and around 80 Eggs. Happy farming.
