The Lobby
Here the game begins.

At first you select your class BUT it doesn't mean it should be your preferred one.
Speak to your teammates and coordinate to build an effective team.

That means don't go all sniper even if you love the sniper. If your team knows what it's doing 2 should be the maximum. Else your team would end up too weak at attacking.

ALSO don't hit that lock button instantly as you enter the lobby.

I see people like "I already locked so you got to take xy...". THAT'S BS and disrespectful.

Worked surprisingly well but only because noone needed ammo and the enemies weren't smart enough to just dig due to no radars. Close defeat though.

General Positioning
PRO ADVISE: 'Either do damage to their cube or defend ours!'
I can't stress this enough. Most of the people doing neither are out of position effectively sucking glue.

Split up your team. Switch smartly between those splits. Don't force a strategy that doesn't work for your situation. Try them as tactical maneuver like the rush.

Splits:

Rush: all attack
Either a desperate try to win or to give your enemies the rest. Also works to break their defences for a short time to help your offensive team getting forward. This one only works so long.

Aggressive: 4 attack ;1 defend
If you see your enemy not attacking enough or you have the power to make them defend this should be good to use but its risky.

Offensive: 3 attack; 2 defend
I prefer this one. 3 attackers can do good damage while the 2 defenders should be able to take more enemy attackers out due to home field advantage. This is solid to run a game and as framework for maneuvers and tactics.

Neutral: 2 attack; 1 mid; 2 defend
This should work like the offensive one except one is staying in the mid and kills incoming enemies before they reach the defences or temporarily helps defend or attack. Could be a ninja who quickly adapts to situations and moves fast.

Defensive: 2 attack; 3 defend
This can make up for a solid defense while the offensive team does less damage. Either you have good attackers or try to slowly wear your foes down.

Passive: 1 attack; 4 defend
I don't see any advantage of this split as one attacker barely does any damage or gets past the enemies defenses. Could be temporarily to quickly rebuild your defenses.

Coward: add defend
This should only be your split to rebuild defenses or if you want to strike back as you're taking down a wave of enemies.
Else only defend = surrender.

BUTI just wanna play.
In this case just regularily watch your minimap and move to wherever you're needed. AVOID being way out of position like your base is under attack while your def is dead 2 are attacking and you're just digging to build something. Delay this then.
If you can't find your position in one of the splits you're probably out of position and useless.
General Teamwork
So as you probably noticed this game is about working as team.

Get yourself a microphone and talk to each other. Also listen to your teammates and understand english. It's just the language to go.

So even if you wont speak you can chat or be a teammate that doesn't need to talk to do the right moves which depends on your class.

Sarge, Cogwheel:
You need to push forward and attack, always. Don't defend if you can't get to into offense afterwards.
PLACE RADARS they help your defense immensely.

PLACE FORWARD SPAWNPOINTS to keep the fight at your enemies base forcing them to defend more and push more effectively and faster. This is crucial.

Cogwheel: spread our your mortars so the enemy cant kill all at once. You can make them fire with 'F' by default at your location.
THEY ARE NOT FANCY TURRETS WHO PROTECT YOUR CUBE FFS. (watch each characters tutorial seriously)

Ninja:
You are fast and thus you can quickly travel to help either attack or defend. Or do you see that nasty sniper way over there killing our offense? Thats your job.
Also defend forwarded bases like a spawn and/or health+ammo.
Your special ability can also be used for attacking as it drops a deadly bomb to take out a turret or give the enemies cube the rest if too many turrets are around.

PLACE TRAPS to help defend, fortify a forwarded position or your cube. They may seem like useless metal laying around but if you suddenly get a kill is actually better than being there and kill the enemy by yourself. Fake blocks are your traps best friends.

Tony(Engineer), Eliza
PLACE AMMO and HEALTH BLOCKS! Spread them out underneath the field you're fighting with your enemy on to get an advantage. Next to your snipers camping spot.(He will greatly appreciate it as he can continue keeping the foes at a a distance without running around for ammo being useless in the meantime)
As forward safespots to keep the fight at the enemies base flowing in your favour.

Sniper:
Prioritize the right target like an enemy attacker or guys standing in your attacker teams way so they can push further.
USE YOUR SPECIAL ABILITY its like a temporarily radar which helps your teammates attacking by highlighting traps turrets and so on all across the map. Use it as often as you can but don't waste it.

Eliza:
Use your poison grenades to defend the cube. Especially if your dumb teammates mindlessly buried the cube and you cant reach the enemy damaging it.
Also use your poison grenades to help teammates who are molested by ninjas.

Space Lady:
You are good in weakening their defenses and for dealing good damage to the cube. You can win the game with a 0:0 KDR.
But in a team ask the sniper to scen the area and make the laser hit their turrets. Sometimes its also funny to dig underneath a turret and make it 'disappear' only advised if the got no radars.
About burying/covering the cube
Don't. I mean DON'T cover it all around with blocks even if they are those tough sandbags.

It takes you minutes to cover the cube but it only takes the enemy seconds to dig trough one or two layers of blocks. Even worse: they reached the cube and block the entrance they dug.

Until you noticed them they're covered by your defense and until you find and reach them they did major damage. It even gives enough time to place a bomb and dig until it explodes to make sure nobody defuses the bomb.

Easy.

Do you see me? I don't.
Whats not to forget in mid-game
Build new Health and Ammo Blocks where needed and to push forward. Rebuild them if destroyed if possible. Same applies for radars.

Build forward spawns whenever you can if you have none or if the last one is too far away.

As sniper advance your camping position as your team gets further into their base.

Don't forget to attack. Else you'll find yourself and the rest of your team defending in your base at your cube whos health you can't increase by standing near it. all defend = surrender

Don't forget that you may be the offensive class. The sniper in your team probably cant push. Else same as above.

Stay with your team and coordinate your attacks. If you just spawned and the other offensive guy is spawning in 10 sec this is a good opportunity to defend the position for those 10 seconds until you can attack together.
All Defend = Surrender
Yep definitely worth an own category.

Why do I think this phrase is true?
If your team tells you to defend at all costs and not attack, you can't do damage to your enemies. Its effectively like saying lets have some fun with a survival type gamemode and see how long we can make it. It's totally useless if you can't attack after you killed one or two of them.
They probably already have a forward spawn and your useless sarge wont place radars to find it and push the enemy back.

If you attack they need guys to defend.
Post-Match Behavior
So the match ended. Meybe in your favor maybe not.

Either way show that you're a good sportsman. So if you have to tell your enemy team something let it be nice or helpful. (but not helpful and sarcastic/ironic/cynic/insulting/...)

No losing team wants to hear that the victory for the other team was easy or that they were bad.
Instead tell them in a good manner what they could do better next time.

Seriously if you just want to say "Easy", "ez", "you suck", etc. make yourself shut up this time instead and just enjoy your victory silently.

However in case you don't like rude behavior or encounter rude players you can report them at the end of the round.

If you lost and think your team sucked don't be rude. You're were part of the team the whole time and you could tell them what to do.
If you were trying hard but your team is resistant against advises or tips I can totally understand that you'd like to rage the hell out of them. But you also have to take the consequences.
Else there is also a report category for bad players.

If you just lost do better next time and take the tips and advises you get and think for yourself what you should improve. Don't be rude and don't report other players for just being better than you.
You can ask them if you can play with them and learn from them if they have space in their team and let you.

Be nice and respectful and you can expect anyone else behaving the same.

I don't think it's possible. The screenshots are made prior to the F2P update. Else you could try to unpack, edit and repack their games assets but I guess VAC would detect it as cheat.
