MacklesMod: No Siege Escalation Melee Penalties

Опис
When defending a settlement with maximum settlement destruction, the defender not only has to deal with all towers being destroyed, several breaches in the walls and quite probably a horde of angry men, but also a number of morale and melee penalties. These penalties are -18 morale, -18 melee attack and -18 melee defence.

To my mind this seems quite excessive to also be reducing the capabilities of the defending units, as they will usually already be at a significant disadvantage. To that end, this mod removes the melee attack and defence penalties associated with siege escalation. Now you can go down in flames kicking and screaming properly when the Huns come for you!

As Brainlaag said, this works with Vanilla, but Fall of the Eagles is practically compulsory, and it does nothing in that mod. Unfortunately, this mod seems to be long-dead, and I doubt anyone here knows how or is willing to put the effort in to learn how to mod something like that. Myself unfortunately included.

Beware, while the current version works with vanilla, it is incompatible with Fall of the Eagles. A compatible version would be much appreciated for this essential mod.

Doesn't seem to work for me, does it require a new save game? I have a quicksave right outside a siege and every time I go in it still applies the penalties

essential mod! I too asked myself why would siege escalation should affect your attack and defence - morale loss is enough IMO
