IMPORTANT NOTICE: If the Merchant of Metal won't speak to you, save and exit your game, then re-load that save. This is a common problem on first-time installs (or reinstallations) of the mod, as well as instances of the mod on new saves/characters.

Firstly, thank you for taking the time to look at my second-ever Skyrim mod. It's much appreciated.

Metal Shouts adds twenty-six new shouts to the game (including the two easter egg shouts, one added for a quest, and an alternate legendary version of an existing one). All of these shouts use audio from the likes of Amon Amarth, Callenish Circle, Death Angel, Metallica, Pantera, and Slayer! Have you ever wanted to shout your enemies off of a hill using the opening cry to Angel of Death? Well, now you can!

To acquire the Metal Shouts, simply consult the Merchant of Metal (voiced by professional voice actor and metal vocalist Sam Gelfand), a horned, red-eyed man in corpsepaint cloaked in black who has set up shop outside of Riverwood. Trust me, he's extremely hard to miss. The Merchant of Metal sells Lyric Books, which teach you their song's corresponding shout upon being read. Each Lyric Book costs around 1,000 gold a piece, although this price will vary depending on what perks your character has.

As of now, all of the Metal Shouts (save for the one Legendary Shout) simply have the same effect as Unrelenting Force, although each Word of Power deals the same amount of damage; in different terms, you don't have to hold down the shout key to blast someone off of a mountain. I do hope to add both more shouts and more shout effects in the future. Stick around to see what I have in store for this mod!
