A max ship speed mod with a difference. It is custom skybox friendly.
You can use it with any Skybox.
It does not modify the Environment.sbc file, so any custom environment settings are safe.


Maximum Small and Large ship speed are set to 9001 m/s.

@Dumbrarere I know this reply is late, however please consider that no speed mod that works in this manner would have any resource impact by itself. This mod changes a built in game variable. True, higher speeds are often highly resource intensive and may impact sim speed or performance overall, however it is not the mod, any negative impact you see is the result of one of two things:
Keen's game engine and physics model does not perform well at simulating higher speeds
Physics in real life is a pain too, and much more so the faster you go

A lot of these mods end up being resource hungry and sim speed takes a tremendous hit as a result. Does this issue affect this mod?

@SeliG : An update is not required. This is one of the simplest mods, and continues to function perfectly.

The game however does not function perfectly. It looks like the 200 m/s speed issue is back, but it is only affected by the Collector block. both small and large grid.

I watched an episode of the new Dragon Ball Super recently, and I have to say I would much prefer the U.S. dubbing over the Japanese. It is only one of a few I prefer in English.
