Caldera Valley

Completely handcrafted map inspired by rural areas found in northern parts of Finland, Sweden and Norway.

Information:
-200000/250000 trees used
-wildlife spawners are found on most tiles
-water flows from the mountains towards the coast or swamps and from the swamps to coast
-shipline along the coastline
-airline through the middle part of the map
-highway through the map with three underpasses along the way (any size of road fits through the underpass)
-rail line partly following the highway
-lots of room for farming and forestry
-two bigger oilfields close together and few smaller ones around the map
-one big ore field and four smaller ones

I wanted this map to be as natural looking as possible so the highway and rail line just goes trought the map and you have to expand them yourself if you want to get them elsewhere. So no loose ends expecting a city.

The way I created this map was to build small villages and farming communities around the map, a bit like region play in SC4 so I'm planning to use all of the 25 tiles in the end.
