Introducing Eliza
Eliza is currently the only 'medic' type of character as he active abillity has the abillity to heal herself and nearby teammates. Also don't let her appearance fool you cause she may be small but there is a real killer inside who is waiting to be released.

Eliza's Loadout
Globe Gun
Eliza's globe gun shoots balls filled with acid which deal splash damage to a small area near the site of impact. Her globe gun has 2 different firing modes. The first firing mode (left mouse button) can be used from close quarters to the maximum range for this weapon. While firing this gun you do need to think about the globe dropping over a distance. The second firing mode (right mouse buttin) shoots a slower lobbed ball which is used for short distances. The drop on this firing mode is a lot though so make sure that you take this into account.

Chem Grenade
Eliza's secondary is her AoE and are thrown away. These grenades burst into a gas cloud after a set time. This means that they will keep moving as long as they have enough speed and the time isn't up yet. This weapon comes with 2 firing modes as well. The first one (left mouse button) starts filling up a power bar when it is full it won't drop down anymore so then you'll have to throw it at full power. According to how full the power bar is you'll throw the grenade over a shorter or a longer distance. This is used for medium to long distances. The second firing mode (right mouse button) will drop the gas grenade on the ground. You don't have to worry about being hit by your own gas as it doesn't damage yourself and your team mates. This firing mode is clearly meant for short range purposes.

Acid Washer

Eliza's digging tool is called the acid washer and is used to gather resources by destroying blocks with it. Beside of this it is used to damage the enemy's cubes and cores if you get close to them. As a side note i want to say that there is no difference in world damage between any of the character's digging tools.

Miracle Cure

Eliza's active abillity is the Miracle Cure this heals you and nearby teammates over time. At level 7 miracle cure will remove any negative effects and at level 10 it will also instantly create a gas cloud where the abillity has been activated.

Last Laugh

Last Laugh is Eliza's passive abillity and leaves behind a gas cloud whenever she is killed.

Miasma Mine

The miasma mine is Eliza's special block which works like a normal mine, but instead of exploding and dealing instant damage it emits a gas cloud which will do damage over time.
Active Abillity
Miracle cure heals Eliza and nearby team mates over time. This means that you have to think about when you will be needing the health in advanced as it no longer instantly heals. Now enemies can still finish you off. This means you might want to activate the active around half health now or you need to hide from your enemy when you are low health.
Strategy
General
Eliza is a powerfull hero because she is very all-round. She is very effective on defense with supply stations and gas traps, while also being able to push up and be pretty tanky with her active. She can outfight most close range heroes by luring them into gas clouds while still being okay at range with her grenades and globe gun.

1 VS 1 Strategies

Sarge:
Sarge is one of the heroes that are a pain against Eliza. His rocketlauncher and grenades are good at taking down the supply stations she can put up and he can be hard to kill with his regen passive. Sarge is a very mobile hero that can avoid your gas clouds and a smart Sarge doesn't go in on your cube where you can trap him in gas, but runs out behind you and places spawns. With the slow reload on the globe gun it can be hard to kill him fully because by the time you have reloaded, his regen will have almost cancelled the damage done. Try make the plenty of supply stations so you always can fall back on one and double up the thickness of your walls against a Sarge. Also try to put up barriers that prevents him from rushing past your defenses and get behind you. Do also try to keep reloading while whitteling him down. This allows you to have a full magazine of 8 shots when his regen kicks in at 54 hp. At that point try unleash your entire clip on him to ensure his regen takes as little of your damage as possible. When searching for spawns, watch out for mines. The globe gun is great for triggering mines and other traps, so keep shooting it around corners, especially in a tunnel. If the spawn is dug down and you see someone spawn on it, drop a gas grenade on the spawn and then block it up, trapping the spawned player in with the gas to ensure his death. Another tactic Sarges employ is sitting at their base and continually shooting rockets at your wall. This tactic is nicknames "Sarge spam" and except for frantically trying to patch up your wall there is not a lot to do as a defender, except ordering your attackers to try and eliminate his ammo station. Otherwise the rpg is most usefull when Sarge has a height advantage, so try make sure you can always get the high ground. In a map like Mountain express, ensure you have a good stairway up to the upper bit, because your globe gun also gets a lot better with height advantage. You should rarely encounter a Sarge while attacking. If you meet an attacking Sarge in the middle of the map, try to get the high ground to avoid a rocket, but otherwise it is best to run past him rather than engage.

Cogwheel:
Cogwheel packs a punch and is very tanky, but he is slow and needs time to spin up his damaging minigun. If you have your tactics right, he should not be a problem. Cogwheel is the best hero for most close range encouters and isn't bad at range either. For a defending Eliza, simply have standing on a high wall hitting him with your globe gun should do a large amount of damage to him. Being a slow hero he is also good for trying to trap in a gas cloud when he is charging at your base. The first problem with Cogwheel is his mortars. If he gets to your base and manages to set them off, they are gonna wreck havoc. The best counter is again to tell your attackers to try and find the mortars and take them out, but unless he has tons and tons of mortars most damage should be quickly patched. Secondly, if trapped outside a front wall most experienced players will either try to scale it or use the hand cannon to hit it. The hand cannon works very much as a weaker type of Sarge spamming, doing good damage to your wall. Still, Cogwheel needs to be well within range of your globe gun, so take him out using it, but ensure you are not exposing yourself too much. A good hit with the cannon can do about 30 damage to you, and even if it hits the wall in front of you it can pull you forwards, over the edge.
If Cogwheel manages to get past your defense and into the base, he will either go for the cube or use his rotary cannon(minigun) on you. This is where he is dangerous. The rotary cannon does absurd amounts of damage in a very short time, but it makes him slow and has a spin up time. The best counter is to lay down a cloud of grenades and then hide behind a 3 high wall, juking him around it while in gas. Note that you need to wall to be high enough for him to not be able to jump on top of it. If he goes for the cube, simply throw down gas, maybe manually trigger a gas mine to stack damage and then beat away at him with your globe gun. He is a very tanky class so he will get quite a bit of damage in, but otherwise it shouldn't be too much trouble If you encounter a Cogwheel while attacking, try run to cover to avoid him. If he follows you the best counter is to dig into a hole, throw down gas and try trap him in it (As in just dig down and throw gas, then block up the hole to protect you from him. Let the gas damage him, and keep digging away from him, blocking up the tunnel and ensuring he is still in gas if he follows. Eventually he should die or give up, allowing you to proceed on.

Nigel:
Nigel is a long ranged class, and will usually try to lay down suppresive fire on you. He should not be a huge trouble. Nigel will usually play the role of supporting defender, which means he will be sitting somewhere sniping the attackers from your team. Once he doesn't have any targets there, he will likely try to hit you. Simply make sure you have a covered position with a health station to run to if you get hit. He can't instantly kill you, but he can take you out in 2 hits, so be carefull.
However, as Eliza, you are the 3th (4th with Genie..) best long ranged hero. After Nigel and Sarge with his rockets, your weapons have the longest range, and despite being unprecise, they do have quite a large area coverage. They are both very affected by gravity so a Nigel in a high position is unlikely to be hit by your weapons, but on a more level plan you should have a chance at getting hits on him. He will likely have his own health station to retreat to, but it can put him out of the action for a moment or possibly have him targeting you in the base, rather than your attackers who can sneak up close to him. Nigel will however mostly be encountered when attacking, and him doing a solid 40 or 60 damage at range is gonna hurt. The best way to counter him is to put up health stations in covered positions, so you and your team can heal up from being shot, and even if it takes a few seconds to heal up, you should arrive at their base at full health. When you then get close, Nigel is usually less dangerous because you can start getting hits on him, where he is pretty squishy. The thing to watch out for then is Tiki traps Tikis severely debuff you and deal a good chunk of damage too. As Eliza, you can't do much special about tikis. Do note your globe gun can damage it with AoE, so even if you don't have line of sight to the tiki, you can still hit it with that and take one down with about 4 ammo. Nigels active, spot prey, will allow him and his teammates to spot your heal and ammo station through walls without having to place radars. This means that you have to act on that they will know where your heal and ammo are, and will go for them. You can counter this by surrounding them more in standard bricks rather than just having natural bricks, and also placing a gas mine next to them as to deal damage to anyone going for them. A good tactic is also to block up the entrance an enemy takes when going for your stations, and then traps them in a gas cloud.
Strategy
OP Juan Shinobi:
Is another hero you wanna be catious of. He usually enjoys hit-and-run combat, jumping in, trying to do some damage and then he usually runs off again, either by teleport or active. He is a squishy hero, so you don't need to worry about him suicide-running the cube in a way you do with Sarge. Try to anticipate OP’s movement and get some gas on yourself. If OP gets close to you he will recieve damage from the gas cloud and from shooting him with the globe gun. This should get his health down pretty fast. You may want to get several gas clouds down and go from one to another by jumping and turning in the air to get a shot on him. Doing this you can keep damaging hi mand you will be harder to hit yourself. If you have fire mines then you can always run towards those as OP will have to follow you if he aims to kill you. If OP vanishes using his abillity either run away from it as it insta kills you on explosions or start hitting it straight away to defuse it. Beside of this you have to watch out for OP’s bleed as it can kill you even after he dies. Though if you have a health station nearby this shouldn’t be a problem and your active abillity can save you as well if needed.

Tony:
As Eliza you should have an edge over Tony. As he is a defensive character you should find him near the cube/core most of the time. This means that you can gas the area he's in to force him to retreat or die. From a long distance Tony can't really do anything to you which will force him to flee or die as well. While he is gone you can move in to defuse his defences but keep an eye on him cause he can hurt you a lot when he gets close. With his active he can get a turret up pretty fast as well but you can counter this by standing in the spot he is placing it at if you spot him building it. Meanwhile you can fire at him with your globe gun and/or drop some gas. If he gets close and starts shooting you with the Rivet gun you can activate your abillity and get some distance by jumping away and shoot him by turning around in the air. His turrets can be taken out from a distance with your globe gun.

Eliza:
As there have been a lot of strategies covered for Eliza in this guide you should have a good view on the things you need to watch out for while fighting her. Stay mobile and keep an eye out for gas clouds. Try to outdamage her with your gas and by getting bodyshots while trying to avoid direct damage on yourself. Don’t be scared to use your active right beside her if you are level 10 so the gas will damage her. Though don’t do this when you are really low on health as she might be able to get a couple of hits on you. When you are defending against her try to use your base to your advantage and try to lure her into your team’s traps.
Block Choice
Miasma Mine

The miasma mine is Eliza's special block and will always be one of blocks you bring with you.

Brick

Just your normal bricks for building and best choice as you can make pillars to reach high places while they still have some durabillity.

Force Gate

The force gate will provide an easy access or exit as you and your teammates can walk straight through them but opponents can't. These are usefull for quick exits from spawn points or quick entrances to structures build over your cube or core.

Health Station and Ammo Crate

Very straigth forward as they heal and resupply you and your team. They can be placed at the bottom of a 2 blocks deep hole and covered up with a normal brick. This way they can still work but they are protected.

Fire Trap or Large Bomb
The fire trap is used if you play Eliza defensively as it explodes when an enemy walks past and drops ember on the ground. When enemies stand on this they will be damage and will recieve damage over time (temporarily) even if they are not standing on top of the embers. The large bomb would be used on offense to blow a hole in the enemy's defenses.
Weakness
  • With 100 HP Eliza can be 2 shotted by Nigel and her active won't really help against this therefor you have to keep an eye out for Nigel as he can easilly kill you if you aren't cautious.
  • It takes a while to fully reload the globe gun. So this means you want to hit your shots to avoid having to reload for a while.
Tips & Tricks
  • Throw a chem grenade near your placed bombs to keep enemies away from them or for killing them faster if they decide to defuse it.
  • While you are surrounded by bricks and you are damaging the enemy cube you should try to keep a gas cloud on you at all times to hurt enemies who are trying to find you.
  • When you have no shots left in your globe gun you can reload once to get 2 globes in it to finish of your opponent. This is done by reloading and firing afterwards to cancel the reload.
Conclusion
Eliza is an all-round strong character, which is an addition to every team. She can heal team mates without having to place a health block. She can deny areas both on offense and defense. She can damage both on long range and short range and has a good amount of speed this together makes her a very good all-round character.

Removed your comments as I personally suspect that it had a high probability of it just being trolling.

Np this guide is very outdated however so it's unlikely that we'll be changing it. But I appreciate your effort and time to share it however. And most of all that it was helpfull in the general play style of eliza as that should still be somewhat correct. Just some of the smaller elements will have changed

Found another typo, in the "Block Choice" and "Strategy" (2nd strategy section), the word "usefull" in "Otherwise the rpg is most usefull when Sarge has a height advantage, so try make sure you can always get the high ground. In a map like Mountain express, ensure you have a good stairway up to the upper bit, because your globe gun also gets a lot better with height advantage." and "These are usefull for quick exits from spawn points or quick entrances to structures build over your cube or core." should be "useful".

The first strategy section, to be specific.

Found typo in the section "Strategy". In "Eliza is a powerfull hero because she is very all-round.", powerfull should be powerful. Sorry to be that guy, but I felt like it was needed.

there's hp blocks, which do the work of what say TF2's medic would do and Eliza is now more focussed on healing team members with her active compared to previous builds

THIS gets me about b&l thers no proper healing charecter

that thing of reloading 2 shots and then shooting to cancel the reload
is not needed, you can just fire when you are out of ammo, she will recharge just 2 ammo
Cyberstani Sammy 18 Dec, 2015 @ 3:06pm
Remember: The globe gun reloads 2 shots at a time, and it's reload can be cancelled at anytime if you've reloaded a few shots already.

Well but that would be skill which would need to be rewarded. It really shouldn't be to much of an issue for the average Nigel you encounter.
