3. This is for ECTOPLASM ONLY this guide will teach nothing but an easy way to obtain the resource used in one of the most powerful armor sets in the game, the Spectre Armor.

4. A full set of Spectre Armor requires 66 Ectoplasm and 324 Chlorophyte Ore

The hardmode dungeon can be an incredibly dangerous place, especially while farming. If you are trying to obtain ectoplasm many different monsters can kill you. Ecotplasm comes from dungeon spirits, which have a 1/15 chance (6.67%) to spawn after killing an enemy in the hardmode dungeon with 100+ health. Chest statues, when placed in the hardmode dungeon with wiring hooked up to an activation object (pressure plate, switch, timer, etc.), will spawn mimics. In case you don't know what a mimic is, it is a fake chest that can spawn around the world randomly in hardmode. It looks like a normal chest but attacks you when you get close. Mimics have over 100 health which is why we will be using them for this farm.

NOTE: DUNGEON MUSIC MUST BE PLAYING OR THE MIMICS WILL NOT SPAWN!

TEXT DESCRIPTION: Make a small room for the chest statues, I believe you can have up to five mimics spawing at the same time, but I recommend two because it is a lot easier to manage. Make a 2 tile high window to attack the mimics. Have some wiring hooked up from the chest statues to a timer/pressure plate/switch of any kind.

OPTIONAL: Dig out a loot collection area beneath the farm.
You can also use shark statues, they work just as well!

RECOMMENDED WEAPONS: You can use any weapons you please, but I most recommend spears as they have the necessary range to take down both mimics at once and optimize speed.
