Mobile Gantry Ship Printer (WIP)

This world contains my concept for a mobile gantry ship printer/grinder. You can either project a ship on the gantry to be welded or attach a ship via merge block to be grinded. Welding / grinding platform is just a placholder at the moment. All the work went into getting the gantry working.

The gantry is fairly stable. Just don't go to fast while grinding or you'll damage the track due to bouncing caused by the grinders.

The only mods used are cosmetic mostly. They Include:

Compact Antenna
Conveyor Vents (For the modified Blue Ship that's loaded in the projector)

Update (April 12th, 2015):

I uploaded a new version of the world with the completed gantry and printer. I set it up as a survival world based on the loan survival map. The gantry and track are preloaded with uranium and ice. There are no components in the containers, but there is a redship attached to the gantry ready to grind. You can find that version here:

Update:

I was able to build out the gantry in survival mode and it works great. If you do try to build it in survival you'll likely run into trouble building the wheels due to their collision detection while building. You'll get a lot of "Cannot place wheel" messages. I projected it as a station, built out the the center beam, then build a frame out of light armor that connected to the back part of each wheel. If there is a block connected to the sides of them, they will not place the wheel. Once you build the wheels you can remove the frame and finish the rest of the gantry.
