How to: Playing without screentearing and in-game VSync / Ohne Screentearing spielen obwohl in-game VSync aus ist
By Drageta
!!! This guide will not fix the problems with the new GTX 9xx generation. Only DIMPS and Bandai Namco can solve this. !!!

Hey guys and welcome to my first guide ever.

This guide is only for users of NVidia cards and it will show you how to get rid of the screentearing without activating the in-game VSync. Enjoy!

1. Go to your NVidia control panel (not GeForce Experience) and select "Manage 3D settings"
2. After that you select "Program settings" and push the button "Add"
3. In the next window you're searching for the DRAGON BALL XENOVERSE entry and hit the button "Add selected program"
4. Now you're back in the program settings and scroll all the way down to vertical synchronization
5. Change the VSync from "Use global setting (use the setting of the 3D application)" to On

Now you're able to play Xenoverse with all the energy related things and without screentearing. Hopefully it helped you :)

@joeosan Could be possible but I don't know which architecture was used to create the Titan X. If it's the same architecture than it isn't completely supported. I also don't know if Bandai Namco fixed that issue with one of the last patches 'cause I haven't changed something on the graphics after creating this guide.

You're welcome Ashley. It would be nice if you tell me which card you are using :)

Well, this means the new GTX 9xx are not completely supported. I'm sorry that I couldn't help you loserkings :(

Sadly Triple Buffer did not work. The ki effects does show up... sometimes. Very strange. My only option seems to just have v-sync off entirely in order to see the game effects at the cost of lots of screen tearing

THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!! that was the most annoying issue ive seen.

Ok, your card could be the troublemaker. I am using a GTX 750 and Noah is using my old GT 630. Maybe your card isn't fully supported but there is one point you can enable and look if it works. Enable Triple-Buffer (it is one of the first options in the program settings). Be aware that this can cause massive lag. I will change my guide if even the Triple-Buffer doesn't help you.
