Tips & Strategies
  • The most important thing to note in regards to some of these trophies are that they can require some very tricky platforming and can take many frustrating tries to perfect the route to the hidden area or complete the challenge put before you. There are two forms of walking and platforming in this game and the difference is so subtle until you try it you won't notice. When using the analog controller Mi moves with a tad more momentum and immediately pops off walls and ledges while using the D-pad gives you a bit more control and causes Mi to simply drop (very useful for some platforming trophies especially the one to get to the secret level in the credits).
  • Keep track of where you are on the map because it is very easy to get lost and can take a long time to backtrack to areas you need to go to to find the secrets.
  • The map is the most useful thing in the game, and its really not that great. make your own personal notes on paper if you have to to keep track of certain points that you'll need to remember such as the secret doorways and the best route to get to them.
Roadmap
The Main Menu & Credits
Before anything it is best you go ahead and go for the 3 trophies that are found in the main menu and credits area. Both areas you can freely walk around and both areas have fairly easy trophies, albeit hard to find. You will be getting Because it's tradition, Knytt Stories, Tobias Chilli in these areas.

Chapters 1 & 2
Play through these as normal. Nothing hard, in fact, both serve as tutorial levels for the crazy things that go down in Chapter 3.

The Interlude
This is at the tail end of Chapter 2 and is replayable at any point as long as you don't use the Restart Chapter 2 portal. Here be on the lookout for Dance in the sky and Fireworks. You will have to replay the Interlude at least once to get both trophies.

Chapter 3
This one is the doozy. Be aware from the get-go to aim for Shortcut Genius, you do not want to have to restart the whole level because you forgot to go for this trophy. While playing in this chapter you will be able to earn every other trophy (see the descriptions of each one for th eknow how). After completing this chapter, you should be able to restart with the last bell unrung and go for the What She Longed For trophy. You can obtain both of these at the same time but many find it easier to go for the secret ending after the fact.

Clean Up
If for some reason you missed a trophy that wasn't Shortcut Genius or What She Longed For then you can easily replay Chapter 3 and find what is left to get that sweet 100%.
Achievements:
Alpha
Get to a hard-to-reach spot near the area where you met Malie.
Go to area coordinates 36,18. Stand on the hill and turn into a ball with the boost on. Jump to the ledge on the left and go to the top of the room. Turn into a ball again and aim for the big gap on the left. There is a ledge there with a hidden path that will take you to 36,17. Turn into a ball again and use the speed boost to reach the alpha icon (beware you can fall form here.)
Beta
Get to a hard-to-reach spot in a wintery place outside Crystal Path.

Go to area coordinates 22,7. Drop down the hole and grab the yellow power-up then go back up. Position yourself at the brown plant and use the power-up. You'll reach a path at the top and then need to go left. You'll see a ramp. Turn into a ball here and fall down, aiming for the ledge on the left. From here go up the path to the left room at 18,7. Grab the all to the left and go down. You'll see the Beta icon. Take note of the room and head back up, turn into a ball and use the speed boost to drop down. Bounce off the floor and aim for ledge to the left to get to the icon.
Delta
Get to a hard-to-reach spot in Markstone Ridgemine.

Go to area coordinates 9,0. Turn into a ball and bounce to grab the small ledge sticking out on the right. Use the height and turn into a ball again to drop and bounce to grab the wall in the chimney to the right. Turn into a ball again and bounce to get to the wall on the far far left. Climb up and go to the next room. Turn into a ball again and bounce to the first narrow chimney heading left. Then bounce and immediately turn to grab the wall on the right in the open area just before the Delta symbol. Jump to the other side of the wall and turn into a ball and make a tricky bounce to grab the delta icon.
Gamma
Get to a hard-to-reach spot above a purple forest.

Go to area coordinates 27,11 or 23,10 (On steam version). Climb the wall all the way to the top and grab the blue power-up. Quicky use it while looking to the left so you go that direction. Grab the ledge and follow the path to the yellow power-up. use it to go up and deactivate when you get near the top and drop to the narrow path. Follow the path to the red power-up. Go up the wall and grab it then use it to go up to the next wall. Next go for the green power-up. Turn into a ball and use the speed boost above the green power-up to grab it as you fall. Bounce on the floor in the room below and use the power-up to go left. Do this again in the next room to grab the Gamma icon.
Epsilon
Get to a hard-to-reach spot above a museum.

Go to area coordinates 45,12. Walk up the ramp and climb to the top of the wall on the far right. Turn into a ball and drop as far down the ramp as you can to bounce up to the highest ledge and grab the epsilon icon.
Zeta
Get to a hard-to-reach spot beneath the underwater lab.

Go to area coordinates 45,6. This one is fairly easy as you will have to jump between tubes to get to the zeta icon in the upper left corner. You'll be using your all and speed boost to bounce off the house on the lower room to get the height you need for these jumps.
Because it's tradition
Find the sheep.

This trophy you can easily obtain upon first starting the game. When you first start up the game from the room with the title, head left and go down the path with the chain hanging down. From the bucket on the next screen below turn immediately right and jump on the small corner jutting out of the ceiling. Crawl up into the hidden passage and go right until you drop down into a room full of floating white orbs. Head to the lowest part of the room and head right into another hidden passage and walk straight into the next room. You will see an adorably drawn sheep taking up most of the room and the trophy will pop up shortly after. Congratulations on earning the only 'simple-to-say-simple-to-do' trophy in this game.
Knytt Stories
Find the hidden Juni story.

This is one of the few trophies you can earn almost immediately upon starting the game for the first time. From the Chapter Select room, go to the More Stuff pathway and enter the See Credits beam. You can walk freely in the credits rooms so immediately work your way to the upper path and begin a series of annoying jumps (see control tips for help in this section). Work all the way to the right through the three rooms heading only on the upper path to find the secret room with a white beam that will take you to Juni's secret story.
Tobias Chilli
Find a hidden disco area in the hidden Juni story.

See the trophy Knytt Stories to find out how to access Juni's secret story. Upon starting the story jump over the house to the left and drop down. Enter the small cave underneath the house. Drop down another screen and find the small corner popping out for a secret pathway that leads you even further down to a secret room with flashing lights and disco music. Watch Juni get her groove on and the trophy will pop up. Care to try and obtain this trophy the first time so you don't have to return to the secret story later.
Dance in the sky
Find a hidden disco area in the Interlude.

While playing the Interlude at the end of Chapter 2, you will be eligible to get this trophy and the trophy Fireworks. Note you may have to go back to Chapter 2 after obtaining one of these trophies because getting them both in just one playthrough of the Interlude is near impossible. Simply return to Chapter 2 select and you'll appear at the tail end of Chapter 2 to start the Interlude again (do NOT for any reason go to Restart Chapter 2. You have no reason too anyways.)

Play through the Interlude up until you get to the room with the two green power ups. Grab one then the other while in flight and go to the left. Use the second power-up to keep going to the next screen and immediately go up at the last screen of the Interlude. From there climb the wall to the top where you see a small corner filled with lights and music. Stand there to watch Mi dance and the trophy will pop up shortly after.
Fireworks
Complete a hidden challenge in the Interlude.

While playing the Interlude at the end of Chapter 2, you will be eligible to get this trophy and the trophy Dance in the sky.

Use the second power-up to keep going straight up into one of the two openings in the ceiling and climb till you reach a bridge. Walk down the bridge to the right until it ends and jump off. From that screen keep heading down till you reach an open room filled with red powerups and death at the bottom. Drop off and grab the first red power-up and immediately use it to start popping in the air and going right to the next screen. The goal is to get to the small opening to the far right and climb up from there. You will get this trophy once you successfully climb out of the room with the red power-ups. It is a frustrating task but the ability to retry at the start without having to redo the whole level does make things easier. This tropy is more about dexterity and timing then most of the other trophies on this list.
Heroic Dance
Find a hidden disco area in one of the mini-chapters.

You will need to activate 60/60 save points on the entire map. There are 61 total, so you really need to explore everything. You won't be able to start a mini-chapter until you do this so start hunting. Click here to see the map. Once you have all this taken care of go to any save beam and use it. You will then be able to play any 3 mini-chapters. Choose RPG and go all the way to the right. You'll see colored blocks and two spinning wheels. Go through the simple puzzle to get past the red blocks where you have the option to go up. Don't. Instead o to the hidden path below the ledge on your left. Once you enter and get to the disco room you'll get this trophy.
Redundant Bird
Find the purple bird.

Go to area coordinates 30,26. There two walls hanging down to the left. Turn into a ball and jump to get in between them. From here jump to the ledge on the left and continue down the path until you see the purple duckie. Note you will be off the map and will be taken on to the far upper left corner of the map when you exit the other side.
Habanero Apologize
Find out where Susanna lives.

Go to area coordinates 45,18. Turn into a ball and bounce on the ramp to get up on the ledge to the house. This is by far one of the easiest trophies to earn in Chapter 3.
Sandwich
Find the hidden sandwich recipe.

Go to area coordinates 33,29. Stand in the left pillar and turn into a ball with the speed boost on to get to a hidden path in the ceiling. There is a door at the end of the path that can only be opened when you have the four corner pieces. You need to collect them in order to open this door and collect the recipe.

Here are the locations of the corner pieces:
Go to 4,0, the piece is in 1,0. Follow through the challenge and use the green power-ups to grab the corner piece.
Go to 0,24. Drop down to the first ledge on the right. There is a hidden pathway there that will take you through some hidden pathways to the corner piece.
Go to 46,2. Grab the red power-up and use it to get to the gap above you. Keep heading up using the ball form to bounce on the ledge and get to the higher walls. Move up and to the left for the corner piece.
Go to 46,29. Turn into a ball and grab the red power-up and jump to the far left wall. Use the power-up to get to the height you need to. Climb up and turn into a ball to bounce and grab the red power-up again and this time head to the far right. Go to the next room to get the last corner piece.
Here is a video for assistance:
La Vupene
Complete the Mini Figure.

Go to area coordinates 37,29. There is a hidden area beneath this room outside the map boundaries. WAIT!! The hidden path will not open however until you activate the earthquake in room 18,29. Enter the hidden path in the left pillar and head down a series of pathways and obstacles (see the video for a detailed walkthrough). After the passage way is open enter it and begin the Mini Figure. There are only two challenges and you can save in between them. Complete the challenges for this trophy.
Falu Kohe
Complete the Figure.

Note: Before starting this series of challenges read Mysterious Forest to learn how to get that trophy, because if you miss it during this challenge you will have to redo them to get the opportunity for that trophy again. You don't want to do that.

Go to area coordinates 37,30. The Figure is an area unmarked on the map underneath this area. It consists of 15 difficult challenges to complete. To reach the Figure go to 37,29 and turn into a ball with the speed boost and reach the ledge above the acid pool. Again use the ball and boost to bounce to the other side of the acid pool. Go to the next room and jump over the small pillar on the right. On the left is the hidden path to the Figure.

It is important to note that you can save after every challenge and leave the Figure. If you do this you can return when you want but DO NOT save at any other save point or else you'll have to do the challenges all over again.

This video guide will be more helpful then any description of these challenges:
Mysterious Forest
Explore a beautiful forest.

This trophy is missable in the Figure challenges so be sure to get it when you have the chance or else you will have to restart all the challenges again. In the challenge Jobahifymo pick up the green power-up and wait for a second to respawn. Use the power-up and grab the next one and head back two rooms to the left and one room down. There is a visible gap in the boundaries of this challenge that you must enter. Go through it then move left and drop down. Walk all the way to the right. From here jump to the left into a black room and continue walking until a cutscene takes place. You'll be teleported to the forest from there. To exit the forest, keep walking right.
Shortcut Genius
Complete Chapter 3 without paying a single bell guard.

This is the longest and most time consuming trophy in the game. You'll want to be aware of this throughout the entirety of your time in Chapter 3.

Here is a video for clarification:
What She Longed For
Find the secret ending.

To get the secret ending you must find the Enigma before ringing all 6 bells. It is possible and usually preferred to ring all 6 bells the replay the chapter (not restart) which will start you at the last bell before you rung it. This does not really save on time but ti does help to lighten the burden of things to keep track of while playing Chapter 3.

To obtain the Enigma you must have 4 items:

  1. The Sun Triangle: You will find this on the hidden path in the area coordinates 16,6. The hidden path is on the left through the gap in the middle of the room.
  2. The Moon Triangle: You will find this on the hidden path in the area coordinates 18,5. Take the yellow orb and grab the wall on the right. Turn into a ball and drop while holding X to rocket you to the other diagonal ramp and aim for the ledge above you. From there drop down and use the power-up to grab the Moon Triangle.
  3. The Day Sphere: You will find this on the hidden path in the area coordinates 39,28. Grab the green power-up and wait for a second one. WHen it pops up use the power-up and grab the second one and rocket yourself up to the room above you. From there use your second power-up and grab the Day Sphere.
  4. The Night Sphere: You will find this on the hidden path in the area coordinates 37,19. You must first complete the side-quests given by Malie. Her first quest can be found at 36, 18 and her second at 29,20. The door will open once her quests are completed and you can grab the Night Sphere.

Next you will need to enter the Disorder so you can place the items in hidden rooms within the Disorder. Make sure you have collected crystals to enter the disorder, or bought some from one of the 2 traders (marked T on your map at points 13,7 and 26,15). Time to enter the Disorder at these various points:
  1. The Sun Triangle: Enter the Disorder at area coordinates 1,11. From entering go down one room and right one room. From there use your ball form with the speed boost to get to the hidden path in the upper left of the room.
  2. The Moon Triangle: Enter the Disorder at area coordinates 42,17. There is a hidden path on the 3rd ledge to the right. Climb the tower or turn into a ball to reach it.
  3. The Day Sphere: Enter the Disorder at area coordinates 22,1. Turn into a ball to reach the blocks hanging on the right. Jump to the second block and then climb up the wall to the hidden area.
  4. The Night Sphere: Enter the Disorder at area coordinates 24,29. The hidden path is in a small gap to the left between the small blocks on the ground.

With this tedious task completed, the Enigma will now spawn at area coordinates 42,13. Go pick it up then ring the final bell tower. The secret ending is at the end of the normal ending.

@Nasty Hero This guide is based entirely on the PS3 and Vita versions. It even has an achievement that doesn't exist in the PC and Wii U versions (Heroic Dance). The videos are also from one of those versions. As such, they rely on glitches that don't exist in this version.

I tried so hard to get the Sandwich 46,2 one like in the achievement description and video and simply couldn't. The character doesn't jump that far when I transfrom from ball to human. However, I was able to get it by grabbing the red power-up at the bottom as a ball, then bouncing up (it's tricky to get there but it's possible) then just jumping up and using the powerup. It's difficult and took me a few tries (you have to be quick before the red powerup fades) but at least it's possible.

I found that some linked full map with coordinates to the forums.

I rehosted the map, because it was on PhotoBucket

You stole a guide for the PSN versions without even bothering to look up whether its achievements are the same. They're not. Downvoting this.
Shuvack 1 May, 2015 @ 12:43pm
it's worth a note that it's most probably a console version guide as there is clearly a "Pew pew!" achievement missing.

Thank you so much for doing this!
Been postponing this game due to the achievements for quite a while and I bet this will help me out a lot!
