Introduction

Note: There have been look-a-like copycat guides popping up. If it's not labeled by THN (The Horror Network), it's NOT one of mine and therefore not up to the quality that I aim to provide.

Welcome to the Dragon Ball: Xenoverse achievement guide.

There has been a lot of speculation and misinformation given in regards to obtaining some achievements, I am hoping that this guide will dispel all or most inaccuracies. If you have found an inaccuracy here, please post a comment and I will correct it straight away.

Most of the achievements are fairly straight forward, however there are some Masters that are only available once you've completed a previous Master. The biggest pains are the achievements related to obtaining all attacks in the game. This guide will also outline two strategies for the dreaded Bardock mission.

Here are a few helpful tips:
1. Never waste a Dragon Ball wish on changing your stats or appearance. OR MONEY. Once you've unlocked all of the PQs, getting a character to level 70 takes about an hour if grinding PQ 52 "Great Ape Festival". Grinding to 80 is about another hour. You'll be doing a LOT of grinding for Master reputation anyway, so don't just let all that juicy experience go to waste. Use it on fueling another character with alternative stats. You will easily get another character to 80 in one, or one and a half Master reputation grinds.

2. Another great reason for farming PQ 52 is that you'll also have a chance at obtaining a Dragon Ball from a random Time Patroller spawn at the end of the mission. The Bardock Great Ape also has a chance to drop a piece of Bardock's gear, which is a great set for a melee build. So you'll be farming Dragon Balls, armor and reputation all in one shot.

3. If you seriously get tired of farming PQ 52 while reputation grinding, you should take the time to farm other PQs that have Ultimate/Super Attacks available. This will save you a load of hurt by the end of the game, when all you have left for achievements are the attacks to obtain.

You've got several hours of game time ahead of you. Get comfortable and enjoy the ride.

***Key note about the final saga achievement.

Close Calls Are More Exciting!
Cleared the Legendary Super Saiyan Saga!
This saga is pretty well a bonus one, as it is not included in the "main" story arc. Once you've completed all prior sagas, you must collect four shards; there are five in total, Demigra having dropped the first one. The remaining shards can be found in the following locations:

Shard 1: Demigra - Complete the Demon God Demigra Saga.
Shard 2: Recon - He is located near the Shenron wishing area, or the area where you initially begin the game.
Shard 3: Parallel Quest 49, "Saiyan Revolt" - You may have to retry a few times to get it to drop, but it will. As far as I know, there is no score requirement. I got a B and got it on my first run.
Shard 4: Parallel Quests 42 "Power of a Super Saiyan God", 18 "Return of Ginyu Force", and 14 "Legendary Super Saiyan" - Any of these will do, however I ended up getting mine on PQ 18. It took me a couple of runs to finally get it, and as far as I know there is no score requirement.
Shard 5: Parallel Quests 32 "Super Saiyan Bargain Sale" and 2 "Prep for Attack of the Saiyans" - It goes without saying here that the easier choice will be PQ 2. It may take you a few runs, but it should be very easy to obtain.

Now, once you have all of the shards, take them to Trunks who is at the Time Nest. Your first mission will be to help Bardock fend off 15 enemies, and then you'll have to take on Frieza. I personally have a 100% melee build, so this mission drove me insane until I found the below strategy. For Ki builds, farm and then spam "Giant Storm" (it's dropped by Nappa in a very early PQ). For melee builds:

Preparation: Hercule as a Master, health capsules.

You'll need to suck it up and take on Hercule as your Master. Grind it out until he's maxed and gives you his final, Ultimate move, "The Savior Has Come". This move causes all of the enemies in the immediate area to lock on to you.

Take some health capsules (I used one small, medium and large, did not have to resort to using the Z capsule).

Execution:

- Once you're in the mission, get enough ki to immediately unleash The Savior is Here.
- Kill as many dudes as you can. Do not use any other skills if you can help it, save all of your resources for refreshing The Savior Has Come.
- Refresh The Savior is Here about every 30 seconds.
- If you did a good job, by the time you reach Frieza, Bardock should've just hit half health. If he has more, kudos to you.
- MAKE SURE that you have the means to IMMEDIATELY unleash The Savior Has Come once you get to FRIEZA. He needs to attack you solely.
- Focus on taking down Frieza only.
- Refresh The Savior Has Come every 30 seconds or so again if you can. The other two dudes might be bothering Bardock, but they won't damage him very much. Just make sure Frieza is aggroed onto you.

I did it in ONE shot with the above method.
Parallel Quest
A Fantastic Journey Begins!
Cleared 1 Parallel Quest!
Simply clear your first Parallel Quest.

Proof of my Courage
Cleared 7 Parallel Quests!
You should net this in no time, as PQs are essential for leveling.

Chaos is Coming!
Parallel Quest completion rate is over 50%!
The halfway mark should be completing all of the PQs up to and including the ones listed in the three star category. Once you've completed all of the PQs in a star category, it will say "CLEAR!" on the bar.

End of the Century Excitement!
Parallel Quest completion rate is over 80%!
The 80% mark should be somewhere around finishing all of the four star category PQs, if you're finishing in order from easiest to hardest.

Memories Buries in Time
Cleared all Parallel Quests!
There is a grand total of 55 Parallel Quests, all of which will need to be completed. You will unlock more PQs the further that you progress throughout the story. Once you've completed the story, AND the Legendary Super Saiyan Saga, you will have unlocked all PQs. These events are your primary source for experience, items, money, skills and armor.

There are some PQs that are unlocked by talking to various characters throughout TokiToki, and they're easy to find. Just keep your eyes open while you're wandering around, they will have a giant blue ? above their head.

PQ 6: Talk to Nappa
PQ 11: Talk to Guldo
PQ 15: Help Kid Gohan (After beating Frieza)
PQ 19: Super Saiyan Gohan (Mid Cell Saga)
PQ 21: Just beat PQ 20
PQ 26: Android 17 (Near Time Machines, Time Machine Station)
PQ 32: Goten (Market)
PQ 40: Majin Buu (Market)
PQ 47: Trunks (Near tournament, Plaza of Time)
PQ 51: Broly (Near Time Machines, Time Machine Station)

If you're having problems completing any of the above NPC unlocked PQs, do not fret. I had a heck of a time with PQ 32 and 47. You can still complete them via online PQs and then they'll register as unlocked for you. So if your friend has them unlocked, have them set up a PQ room for you guys. If not, search the lobby and hopefully you'll get lucky.
Masters
***Keynote.
It's best to save actually hunting these achievements until after you've finished the story line, as the Masters will unlock through story progression (Cell after you beat the Cell Saga, Android 18 after you beat the Android Saga, etc.) However, some Masters require you to complete training with another Master first. If you're looking for someone inparticular, but haven't seen them, best check the achievement description.

It has been heavily debated on how to actually gain reputation for each Master. All it boils down to really is reading what they have to say. For instance, Hercule just says you need experience; so farm Parallel Quest 52 or 53 for tons of experience. Most Masters want you to use their moves repeatedly, like Piccolo's "Evil Explosion" while he's your Master. It's also a good idea to have your respective Master in your party while playing through Parallel Quest.

TL;DR: Use the Master's moves that they've taught you repeatedly in battle, bring them along for the ride, farm later PQs for high experience.

Rainbows Form in Your Eyes
Friendship levels maximized with all masters!
Despite popular speculation, you do NOT lose any friendship level with your Master if you choose to leave them for another one prior to maximum completion. Your current reputation and overall Master status can be found in the main menu, under Player Data. Simply press LB once in the menu to view your status.
Online
Battle In Your Sleep
Completed 7 Auto-Patrols!
This achievement is currently pretty sketchy, thanks to the sketchy servers. Out of 44 hours of play time, I've received 4 auto-partrol pop ups. So until the game is fixed, this one may take you a while. It is a simple achievement, that requires you to basically just log in to the game seven times. Each time you log in, an auto-patrol should populate. Should.

For the Sake of the Future!
Played Online Battles for the first time!
Play online against another player for the first time.

Won't You Dance with Me?
Played Online Battles 7 times!
Play online against another player seven times.

A Fight of Courage and Pride
Won online 7 times!
You need to win seven online matches against another opponent. Either get this legitimately if you can, ask around the forums, or team up with another friend.

Take On All Challengers
Participated in Endless Battle 7 times!
At the moment, Endless Battle is hard to get in to. However, you only need to participate in seven of them.

Online Champion
Won Endless Battle 7 times!
One of the more challenging achievements. You cannot use capsules in Ranked or Endless Battle. You'll need to be good, and a lot of people are using exploits at this time. Either do it legitimately, search the forums, or team up with at least one other person to obtain this achievement.

Rival to my Dreams
Observed 7 battles!
You need to simply be a spectator in seven Endless Battle events. You can do this naturally, when you are not paired with an opponent. Or you can create your own Endless Battle room and choose to be a spectator only.

Team Player
Revived KO'd allies 7 times in online matches!
This would be the toughest online achievement to gain legitimately. You need to revive your KO'd ally seven times in online battles. Paralell Quests DO NOT count. To revive an ally, go to their fallen corpse and press RB to lock on to them, and stand in their circle to revive them.

Heart-Thumping Encounter
Added a Time Patroller to your Favorites List!
Very easy. Once you're able to connect online (hit level 10), beige/yellow named characters will appear all around TokiToki. Simply go up to one of them, press Y to open their character screen, and then add them as a favorite.

Share Your Energy With Me!
Sent a Gift!
You can send a gift to players that you've recently been matched with, or people from your favorites list. Visit one of the Timespace Delivery machines to send a gift.

I Got a Present For Ya!
Received a "Present!"
You'll need to reach out to a friend for this one, unless you're lucky and get sent something randomly. You can retrieve a gift from the Timespace Delivery machine.
Dragon Balls
***Keynote:
Dragon Balls are obtained from Time Patrollers in various Parallel Quest. A Time Patroller is a player created character, who appears as an NPC with a giant neon red/orange ! above their head. You will need to approach them, press B to talk to them and accept their challenge. Dragon Balls can be farmed from Time Patrollers found in the following Parallel Quest.

02: Prepare for the Attack of Saiyans!
05: Attack of the Saiyans
07: Burst Open and Mix!
12: First Battle! Ginyu Force
15: The Explosion of Namek
18: Return of Ginyu Force!
19: Let's Train
22: Earth in Danger!
26: Warrior's Annihilation - Future Chapters
37: Potara Warrior
42: Power of a Super Saiyan God
52: Great Ape Festival

In my experience, the fastest PQ to farm Dragon Balls from is 12 "First Battle! Ginyu Force" simply because the Time Patroller will show up directly in front of you in the distance. If they do not show up, simply retry the mission over and over. Once the Time Patroller appears, you need to defeat them AND land the final blow on them. If you do not land the final blow, you will NOT receive a Dragon Ball. Dragon Balls only have a percentage of a chance to drop, as well. You will know when you receive one as the game will tell you that you have received a "Key Item". In general, you will receive "Material Item" and THEN "Key Item". If you do not receive "Key Item", retry the mission. The seventh and final Dragon Ball will be your biggest pain, as the percentage of getting a Dragon Ball goes down with each one that you obtain.

World's Best Kept Secret!
Obtained your first Dragon Ball!
Simply gain one Dragon Ball.

Another Bit of Hope
Found Two-Star Ball!
Obviously, going for all seven Dragon Balls will net you this achievement.

Grandpa's Memoir
Found Four-Star Ball!
Obviously, going for all seven Dragon Balls will net you this achievement.

The Best Miracle of the World
Gathered 7 Dragon Balls and summoned Shenron!
Once you've received all seven Dragon Balls, head to the area of TokiToki where you first began. There will be steps leading up to a hub where you summon Shenron. Interact with it by pressing Y and it will ask you if you would like to summon the dragon. Here are a list of wishes and what they do:

I want money! - Get "500,000 Zeni".
I want a rare item! - Obtain Accessory: "Power Pole".
I want to dress up! - Obtain Equipment: "Journey to the West Costume (Top, Bottom, Hands, Feet)".
I want to get stronger! - Obtain Z-Soul: "Soul Resonance Apparatus" 5x & "Soul Spreading Synthetic Device" 3x.
I want to grow! - Get the needed experience to reach the next level.
I want a new Ultimate Attack! - Wish 1: "Blitz Hell Ball", Wish 2: "Minus Energy Power Ball".
I want a new Super Attack! - Wish 1: "Flash Bomber", "Drain Field" & "Lightning Ruin Air Consumption", Wish 2: "Castrol Dragon Light Bullets", "Godspeed Light Bullets" & "The Sleepy Boy Technique".
I want more usable characters! - Wish 1: "Gogeta (Super Saiyan 4)", Wish 2: "Super 17", Wish 3: "Omega Shenron".
I want a second chance at life! - The ability to redistribute your stat points.
I want to be drop-dead gorgeous! - Change your character creation settings (unable to change name).

Take my advice and do NOT choose I Want Money, I Want to Grow Up, I Want a Second Chance at Life and I Want to be Drop-Dead Gorgeous. I used one wish to reset my stats and I regret it greatly.
Money will come with time, your first character will be the hardest to level, if you've screwed up your stats make a new character and if you don't like your look then you should've picked better the first time. Dragon Balls become harder to obtain the more wishes that you make from Shenron. If you're in it for the achievements, go for I Want More Usable Characters x3 first, and then either I Want to Get Stronger, I Want a New Ultimate Attack or I Want a New Super Attack.
Unlocks
The Greatest Warriors
Unlocked all characters and variations!
You'll unlock all the variations of each character through natural progression; your main objective should be to complete all of the Parallel Quest and the story line. The only three characters that will not be unlocked through natural progression are SSJ4 Gogeta, Android 17 and Omega Shenron. You will need to make a wish using your Dragon Balls three times to unlock the aforementioned characters.

Full Super Power!
Gathered all ultimate attacks!
See Full Ultimate Power! for further details.

Full Ultimate Power!
Gathered all super attacks!
This is where more grinding comes into play. You're going to need to collect all Ultimate and Super attacks in the game for these two achievements. There are over 130 Super Attacks and 45 Ultimate Attacks to collect. If you're unsure of which ones that you've collected, go to the main menu > bag > skill list and change the selection to Super/Ultimate Attacks.

What makes these a pain to unlock is that you have to find them in Parallel Quest, meaning you have to play the RNG game. They won't always drop, and you may have to complete some PQs many times before the attack you need will drop. Master quests also unlock character specific attacks, so you will need to complete all of the Master achievements as well.

Also, don't forget about the attacks that are unlocked via Dragon Ball wishes.

All Around the Universe
Went to all stages!
Once you beat the story line, plus the additional Legendary Super Saiyan Saga, you will obtain this achievement. This can also be unlocked through Parallel Quest, as I achieved it by doing PQ 53 online with other players prior to beating the Legendary Super Saiyan Saga. To see what stages you have unlocked, you can go to the offline battle NPC and start a 1v1 game and check the stage select after character selection. There are a total of 21 stages.
Misc.
Eyes on the Prize
Gathered 500,000 zeni!
Your first instinct may be to wish for the money through Dragon Balls. Don't. It's seriously a HUGE waste of a wish that would've been better spent. It may seem at first that you'll never have enough zeni, because armor can be quite expensive. But trust me, once you finish the story and you're farming Parallel Quests for Master reputation and Dragon Balls, you'll have so much zeni that you won't know what to do with it. So just wait this one out.

If You Show Me Your Courage
Obtained all achievements!
Yeah... pretty self explanitory.
Wrap Up
Good luck in your achievement hunting!
