About This Guide
This guide was initially was written in about an hour so if there are mistakes point them out, this is a guide for the community and by the community.

If you wish to add something feel free to add it in the comments, i will check up on this from time to time when a comment pops up for me.

Now this guide won't get you through a Night Hunter Invasion 100% of the time, as thats purely up to you and your circumstances. But it should help make things easier.

And remember the most important things about games is having fun
The Basics
Now the basics of Be The Zombie mode is obviously the invasions, now as far as i can tell there isn't a breathing period timer on it like Dark Souls has so after your done either having your throat chewed out or kicking the ♥♥♥♥ through a Night Hunter, theres a chance you will have to go through it all over again immediately which can be tiresome if you lack the resources or wasted important things like flares during this terrifying part of the night.

Now this section covers the most basic things that comes with being hunted throughout your quest of destroying Nests in the horror of night

Now basically when you get invaded it will let you know with a message in the middle of the screen and a countdown, after such countdown, you will be hunted to every corner of the map.
Now providing you don't be a sook and quit you have 2 options, either get some buddies in to help you but scale the health of the night hunter, or choose to tackle the task alone, giving you a weaker hunter but severely at risk of losing.

Now if you wish to solo there are a few tools you have that will provide useful, listed below;

UV light: This little bad boy here can stop the Night Hunter from pouncing you with a little friendly sun tan, it also can stop the standard zombies dead in their tracks, which is pretty useful if you're trying to take out a nest and a few try to encroach on you.

Flares: these little cigars of lightacular awesomeness gives you an area of UV Denial which is great for keeping zombies at bay whislt you deal with other matter, it can also sometimes save you from getting pounced if your lucky.

Surivor Instinct; This mind blowing feature is the essential thing you will use during the nightly horror fest you will face, default key for Keyboard is "Q" and for the controller the default is the "A" button, during the Night Hunter mode this will allow you to find the Night Hunter if he's close enough, with both a orange ping on the screen showing where he is, behind walls or what not, and also giving you a neat little icon on the minimap also showing where he is.
The Surivivor Instinct will be one of the most important things for you to use.

A Buddy: These glorious and sexy things are what accompany you though the game if you choose, although having them accompany you can also make the night hunter harder to kill, they will also be able to work side by side with you if your able to get a good rhythm of teamwork going.

Now the things you should try to avoid during the Night Hunters dinner time is such:

Draining your UV light, this much is obvious. No UV light means no way to stop the Night Hunter from giving you the Neck Kiss of Death, which in your case.... is fatal.

Running out of Flares, Now you can do this without flares but its somewhat easier if you have a few, flares can be found in Airdrop boxes scattered throughout the wastes of Harran, if you lucky enough to find some, my advice is to hold onto them incase you get invaded as they can prove invaluable.

Having your buddies chicken out, This has to be the worse thing that may happen, being invaded and hearing your friends tell you "screw this im out" and then disconnecting leaving you at the wrath of a very hungry hunter and agile zombie who isn't going to offer you a lick of his lollipop, if this happens.... well aren't you glad your reading this for help.
Advanced Tactics
This Section will teach you a few advanced things ive picked up to try and help you get through the Night Hunters onslaught a bit easier and can be one of the most important parts of this guide.

First up the more advanced use of a UV light;

This Ultraviolet spraying Torch can sap the energy of a Night Hunter as well as give him a positively glowing Sun Tan, both of which have proven fatal to its survival if it isn't careful.
Now when confronted with a Night Hunter your first instinct will probably be to shine the UV light on it and crush its skull... you may be right, but not about this, the UV isn't infinite and will run out of battery quite quickly if you aren't careful with it

Try using short bursts to scare him off, if pounced, give him a quick blink of the UV light to stop him then prepare to start whacking away but don't chase him.

Flares will help you on Nests as they can stop zombies from walking up and chewing on you, and sometimes can stop a pounce, so everytime you go up to a nest if you got the spare flares (heh) drop one on top and start whacking away.

Survivor Instincts are a good way to track the Night Hunter, they don't have a recharge time, and can be spammed as many times as you want, great for when you hear the Night hunter howl, spam it to find him and make sure you don't lose track of him.

Killing the Night Hunter is a feat of absolute awesomeness gaining you 200 Power points without a xp upgrade from the tree, this is also your opportunity to make a mad dash for the nest, use this time wisely as it could be the difference between being at a nest ready to rock, or being stuck in the open being ready to be chewed on.

Taking cover, Now this game has some cover which in singleplayer is probably more useful again targets with guns, but in invasions this may save your life a bit try taking cover in sewage tunnels or a traincar to force the night hunter to move into your view and blast him with a short burst of UV, shops are also a area where you can force the Night Hunter into moving into view but be careful as he may use his spits to draw you out, if he does make sure to check his location and make a dash out, blink him with some UV if needed but make sure not to get hit.
Nitty Gritty Walkthrough
This section is going to run you through a mock Night Hunter invasion and walk you through some of the tactics and how to effectively put them together.

As the Invasion starts your first step is to find the closest nest, whilst making sure your not in the open too much.
Find a building but don't climb to the roof, get to the balcony below to roof, that way you have a roof over your head for cover and to force the Night hunter to come to your level, spam the Survivor instincts a few times to make sure you know where he is, take note of his position on the minimap, it will last a few seconds allowing you to see him coming, be sure to map out your route to the nest making sure to know where shops are so you can quickly duck into them incase you got a nasty human controlled biter on your heels.

Upon arriving at the Nest if you made it alive, should be to make sure the area is clear of zombies and to pay careful attention to any vantage point the Night Hunter can use, tall buildings, overpasses, poles, fences, etc.
Next step is to find out where the sneaky guy is, using both the minimap and the orange ping to locate him, once located make sure he isn't going to rush you by giving him a few bursts of UV and forcing him to retreat to a safe area, once that happens start your aggressive dominance of the volatile spawn, making sure to hit your survivor instinct every now and then to make sure the Night Hunter doesn't try to sneak up on you. If need be drop a flare to keep you covered and pay close attention to the howls as they can also help you locate the Night Hunter.

Whilst making your way though the area going from nest to nest, you may realise that everytime the Hunter uses his Tendrils you can hear where they hit and where he's going, this helps you figure out what floor he's on and where he plans to move to. pay attention to your surroundings, after all in this game, what you can't see, WILL kill you.

If you have Buddies with you, depending on how many you got depends on the amount of teamwork you need, example would be, if you only got one buddy with you, either have one of you take the nests on, whilst the other covers, Uv bursting the Hunter as required and clearing zombies away, don't forget if you have mics to callout locations aswell as notify the other of spits.

If all goes well you should make it to the last nest with a final blow of victory and a complimentary GG

@Gunmetal
I meant the part where he claims he made a "hacker" rage quit. A m4st3r h4x0r does not simply rage quit.

Tis true, the god mode hacks used to prevent bullet and melee damage don't counter in the instant-kill effects of spikes or the drop attack.
That isn't considered a damage event but merely a scripted death event.. on other words you don't actually take damage... you just die so theres barely a way to counter it.
Same thing happened with godmode hacks in Battlefield 4 and the building in Seige of Shanghai dropping on your head, you would die as it was a scripted death event not a damage event

Yea I ran into a hacker with god mode. To bad god mode does not stop me from raining death or kicking him into spikes. Long story short the hacker rage quitted.
Mr.PyroMitch 14 Feb, 2015 @ 3:15am

Crackhead Dave  [author] 13 Feb, 2015 @ 11:25pm
@Mr.PyroMitch, if you encounter a hunter that Spits more then twice per spit, say throws 5 horde summoning spits at you, its not a good hunter, its a hacker/cheater
Mr.PyroMitch 12 Feb, 2015 @ 7:48pm
by smarter you mean spam like crazy until you can't keep up anymore like this level 52 i ran in to i mean rematch i won but when they spam spit and do nothing but sling around to confuse you
Long Wang 5 Feb, 2015 @ 2:57pm
Yea recently I was unfortunate and ran into the first hunter that beat me. Apparantly a good hunter strikes and than evades he never sticks around for to long.
Crackhead Dave  [author] 1 Feb, 2015 @ 4:10pm
Hunter Hunter, yeah i used the whole "seperated from the group" tactic to force him to come after me, but you gotta be careful, sometimes they are smarter then you and sometimes you lose
