Count to King
First choose the 1337 start. Go to England and play as one of the king's vassals, Earl Thomas of Norflok. As soon as you begin the game, start the faction, "Earl Thomas for England". Then open the intrigue/decisions tab and demand installation of claimant. This will start a revolt against the King, but this will also make you the king of your revolt. You will most definitely lose the war but you will earn the achievement. You can do all this in just one in-game day!

I don't think this works anymore, I believe PDS made it so that revolt titles don't count as King-level titles...

Try doing the same thing but in a really old version.

This achievement does not work and I had Ironman enabled. He only becomes the Leader of the Revolt and does not gain a King Title.

Set the start date to 8 September 1087. Count Robert of Maine will soon inherit the Kingdom of England from the aging William the Conqueror. Alternatively, the count of Brno in 1066 is heir to the duchy of Bohemia, which controls the entire de jure Kingdom of Bohemia. Does not actually require completion in one character's lifetime.

Doesn't work.

Yeah, just revolt against someone of that teir as an independant count, that is an increase from count to that teir... legitimately going from count to duke is easy, count to king manageable, count to emperor? That had better be the empire of Carpathia or something, because Empires are a pain in the ass to create.

This doesn't work, I did not become king fo the revolt, I just was Thomas of Revolt.
