1. RUN TO THE HILLS, RUN FOR YOUR LIFE

When you spawn, just run few mikes to whatever direction if you don’t know where you are. The spawn areas are heavily populated in servers with HIGH pop. There’s always people who think they need new pair of sneakers. Infact there is no reason to loot spawners, because t-shirts and gauzes are not worth it really. For some reason after the loot was increased, all houses have t-shirt and maybe a cap somewhere.

DO NOT RUN near power lines, roads or to towns. That’s just a death wish.


2. TIME TO CRAFT SOME SERIOUS STUFF :)

After you are far away and have checked that no one have followed you say good bye to your T-shirt and trousers. Shred them and make a satchel with 6 scrap of cloth. Look around in forest and seek out green bushes with big leaves. Get some sticks from bushes and make makeshift bow with stick and cloth. Get more sticks and make arrows. 40 might be enough.


3. WHAT'S FOR LUNCH TODAY? NO NOT BLACKBERRIES AGAIN.

Now you are starving and hydrated so look for blackberry bushes. There’s only 2 different kind of bushes so try hard and you might see the difference. Eat when it is possible. Get also some extra berries with you because they only give you 2% energy and dehydration. About 40 berriers will make the thing. You live for 30 mins with those and blackberry bushes are quite common.

NEVER eat in open place, check the surroundings and be ready to run if near hostile area (everywhere TBH)

4. TIME TO GET SOME PANTS AND T-SHIRTS (possibly a backbag)

Now you think “damn I have no trousers and t-shirt. I look just like RUST player from stone age”. Time to get to the nearest house or villa or whatever BUT NOT to any trailer or shack because you won’t find anything from them (The loot tables are upside down and there isnt not much to loot in containers. Open world spawn seems to work). Preferably you find a house which is in some forest or is just located remotely. Get in and check all the tables and surfaces for t-shirt and caps. Normally there is one t-shirt laying around in some surface (kitchen table, toilet table, bed, office table). Caps are usually on table or on the floor.

WHEN YOU GO TO HOUSE check the surroundings for any hostile signs. If there is zombies lying dead, they don’t die naturally :P and the house might have some other unwelcome visitor.

ALWAYS close the doors behind you. IF you hear door creaking, better to run away or try to ambush whoever it is. Footsteps from house can be heard like tens of meters away, so the guy who opened the door, possible knows there is someone and is looking for some easy loot. Close the nearest door and just aim your bow at the door if no way to run away.


5. LETS CRAFT SOME HEAVY S**T

After you have looted lots of goodies (read t-shirt, t-shirt, cap, empty bottle, stagnant water, branch) it is time to get some better food and liquid. Try to spot wooden crate and destroy it. It makes lots of noise, so be ready to leave the place hasty, after you have taken wood plank or few with you. Go to nice safe place, normally located far away from everything. Make bow drill with stick, wood plank and piece of cloth. Locate a trailer park etc and make a fire… Grill your meat that you have hunted… or not. Also dirty water and stagnant water can be purified with it. Just throw them to the fire. SERIOUSLY.

REMEMBER that the fire makes you a target, so again, be ready for anything. Wolves, zombies and other players. Zombies and wolves aggro near fire.

MAKE BANDAGES. Use you spare cloth to make bandages. 2 cloths and you have a bandage. Keep you health near 100% all the time.


6. KEEP REPEATING UNTIL YOU HAVE FOUND SOMETHING REALLY AWESOME TO DIE FOR.

Keep repeating this and someday you die and lose everything. Go and grab some cookies before start all over again. Do not get attached to you stuff.

-Check the map http://h1z1.gamepedia.com/Map (annotated map is great with /loc command)

-With /loc command in chat menu, you can see where you are on the annotated map.

-Don’t be near spawn places. Lots of newbies, opportunists and just malignant people lurk around these places.

-If someone says that don’t come any closer, he might mean it. Friend of mine have shot many people with shotgun because they just don’t understand to stop. Those who have stopped, have had things like backpacks etc.

-Don’t trust people. Even though they say they’ll give you candy in their car.

-If you get a weapon of mass destruction (firearm) know that the bullets will run out quickly. Don’t try to get people’s attention by showing firearms without a purpose. There might be hunting rifle guy scoping at you. That .308 bullet is well spend if you get a shotgun.

-If you hear a car, better to run away. 2/3 cars try to drive you over.

-You can hide to a repairable car. You cant be hurt when in car, but the car can be blown up.

-When Sunday driving through hills, big evil brown rocks might appear from nowhere. And the car is really unstable. Normally it flips over and all the passengers get insta killed. The best is the last: cars seems to blow up with few shots with bow and firearms :D

-Always keep moving and strafe even when it is not necessary. “The opportunity makes a thief.”

-Best defense is… RUNNING away and using the bow from distance. Preferably with few friends. Always think what you can lose before thinking the gains.

-When running dont jump. Stamina drains really fast. All players run the same speed, so getting away some loonie is easy. Just keep running and strafing.

-If enemy has a bow, keep strafing, even if he is not aiming with it. There is a glitch that makes the bow shoot right away without arming it.

-Do not put you stuff inside a shack with a door. There is ppl who can get your stuff without taking the door down.

-If you need and want to get a gun, try to find loot letters from zombies, or before server restart, park inside police station or some other place for loot and as soon as servers are online login and grab everything you can.
