คำอธิบาย
Build hints
If you install Text HUD API, then when placing the portal, you'll see a helpful guide for finding the 'front' of the gate. The top of the gate is the top when facing down to read the word 'Front'.
You can also toggle it after placement by turning on 'Show On Hud' in the terminal.

Terminal Control Changes
In the next several weeks, I'll be revamping the entire terminal control system.
It will be a breaking change, but at the same time, I know everyone will love the result!

Summary
This is a stock-alike version of the Stargate mod.
It will work standalone, or in conjunction with it. That means the gates can connect interchangeably.

This contains the gate, a dialer, and the Naquadah resource. Nothing else is included at this time.
This is for those who want either a stock looking portal, and/or a version without weapons.
THIS DOES NOT HAVE VOXEL ORE (but can use it if placed AFTER Stargate in mod order).

This uses the resource settings of the Stargate hardcore mod.

Antenna Support
NOTE: Antenna support is currently broken in multiplayer due to game change. A fix will be provided as soon as there is one.
Antenna broadcasting is now supported through the gate.
It is currently turned off by default for testing. If you would like to try it, add [antenna] to the DHD block name.

Unstable Vortex
The portal will shoot out an unstable vortex when activating, which will destroy anything in its way. This includes blocks, voxels, and players.
It will destroy a region 3x2x2 (width, height, depth) in front of the gate (on same grid, slightly smaller if floating in front), be warned before activating.
/portal vortex off to disable vortex.
/portal vortexdmg off to disable vortex damage only, while remaining visible.
Vortex animation is client side only, and will not affect dedicated server performance.

Space Engineers, and by extension this mod, are always changing. There is always a possibility of game changing or game breaking alterations to this mod. If that is not acceptable, it would be best to wait until SE is out of alpha before considering this, or any, mod.

Troubleshooting
Have problems with this mod, or any other mod?
There is a bug in the game, which affects single player, hosted multiplayer, and dedicated servers, which corrupts mods when redownloading them after they update.
The fix is to navigate to %APPDATA%\SpaceEngineers\Mods and delete ALL the .sbm files.
They look up to date, but they are corrupted.
For dedicated servers, navigate to %APPDATA%\SpaceEngineersDedicated\Mods.

Don't worry, they will redownload automatically when you reload the world.

Known issues
* Players joining a dedicated server will cause portals to reset
* Using AutoDHD will not close active gates
* Ships might be deleted if they travel further than 20km. This a reported game bug.

Works with multiplayer and Dedicated Server!
That's right, now you can travel as a team through the same portal, at the same time!
Enjoy the first workshop mod (to my knowledge) with FULL Dedicated server support for all objects! SESE NOT required!
You can transfer floating objects, such as ore, debris, and unpiloted ships through the gate in the dedicated server now in addition to offline!
The gate will automatically close 5 seconds after the last player/character enters. The countdown is only started after a player (or NPC, such as Sabroids) enters. Uncontrolled objects (such as ore) will not trigger a countdown, and the gate will remain open for 38 minutes. This can be overridden by adding the [Autoclose] tag, optionally with a time: [Autoclose=10] will close after 10 seconds.

Death!
If you try to enter the wormhole the wrong way (through the destination portal), it WILL kill you! It will also destroy all ships entering the wrong way (subject to DS limits above).

Iris!
The portal now has an iris, and even better, works with the Programmable Block.
The iris will block unwanted objects, or players, from travelling through the portal.
If the portal is owned by a player or shared with his/her faction, that player, or anyone in their faction, respectively, can enter their gate safely, as the iris will automatically disengage. Unowned portals, or portals inaccessible to the traveller, will not open the iris, if it is closed. This will instantly destroy any ships that enter, or kill any players that don't have permission.
To toggle the iris, just toggle the Use Conveyor System option in the control panel.

Programmable Block Support
The portal can run a script on a programmable block when an incoming wormhole opens and closes.
This can be used with this script to automatically activate the iris.
To use it, just group it with the stargate, or add 'Portal' to the Programmable Block name. Then write or assign a script.
The programmable block must be owned by the same player/faction that owns the gate, if the portal is assigned an owner.
If the Main method has no argument, it will only be called during an incoming portal. If there's a string argument allowed, the programming block will be called during outgoing portals as well as incoming. The argument will be either 'incoming' or 'outgoing' so the script can tell the difference.

Timer Block Support
The Timer block can be activated during incoming or outgoing portals. Just place a timer block and group it with the gate. By default, it will only be triggered during incoming portals. If you would like it triggered for outgoing instead, add [outgoing] to the block name.

Admin Commands
Server admins (or SP users) can now control global aspects of the portal operation:
* Global antenna on/off (MP when sync issue fixed) "/portal antenna"
* Gate invulnerabilty "/portal damage"
* Gate building enabled "/portal buildable"
* Save settings for server restart "/portal save", also saves during normal game autosaves.
* In-game help: "/portal help"

LCD Support
Now supports the LCD panel with provided textures. Follow the same grouping or naming rules as the Programmable block, and watch the gate work!

NOTE FOR USING WITH STARGATE MOD:
This mod CAN alter the Stargate mod, depending on load order.

Placing this mod above the Stargate in the load order will cause naquadah to be buildable by the assembler instead of the ore.

This supports DX9 & DX11.

Is there any chance I might be allowed to upload a version of this mod removing the Naquadah resource and adjusting the ring to use vanilla components only?
I might be able to make it require this mod as well, by only including the block and voxel definitions.

I've pushed an update which synchronizes it with the regular Stargate mod.
They will now share the same external script.
The new script will be pulled in automatically by the game. You do not need to subscribe to the Stargate mod.

When I use the gate to travel between planets the planet's move slightly causing everything on them to shake violently.
