This mod is based on one thing: When you get hit by a missile it hurts

I've never been hit in the chest by an arrow or javelin, but I'm pretty sure it would knock me on my ass regardless of how tough I think I am!! This mods adds a stagger effect to missiles similar to the effect that exists for charging horses or artillery weapons. The effect is based on the weapon's weight - so a javelin is more likely to knock a unit over than an arrow is and an arrow is more likely than a slingstone.

This adds a level of realism as you see armoured warriors tossed around by massive impacts. It also adds to missile unit tactics as they are now much more useful on the battle field. A well timed volley can literally stop a charge in it's tracks, slow an enemy, break apart a phalanx or simply ruin ordered ranks, making that unit more vulnerable to cavalry.

This mod does not technically make missile weapons stronger, but the effects can be used to your advantage. It's worth mentioning that this mod may cause slight fraction of a second FPS drops (depending on your machine) when zoomed in on missile impacts but you more than likely won't notice. :)

Does overkill happen with this mod?
If i'm playing Kush, the archers shooting faster and harder than other civils and I found enemies always get knocked down before they die. So they might get aimed again after they are actually dead since the delay?

Is the knockback chance consistent regardless of units being attacked? For example, will an elite, well armored and disciplined unit like the royal spartans be "knocked back" as often as a weak fodder unit?

Can't wait to use this mod in a few cinematic replays.
The ranged "knockback" is something CA massively overlooked.
