Don't Tell The Wife
Okay, you twisted by arm.
- At the crime scene you need to talk to the reporter, Nadia Roberts. Keep it professional and choose the dialect "What rumors?" After deciding to leave the crime scene, you'll meet up with Joe. The "Don't Tell the Wife" dialog should pop.

Or Else
Some offers you can't refuse.
- At the crime scene, talk to the reporter again, same stated above but avoid the "What rumors?" dialog. After investigating the crime scene, Tyrone will call Joe and wait two times and Reggie will automatically interrupt. When meeting Joe in a park, choose the dialog "Talk down."

When Joe got home to his wife and child

Liar, Liar
Some things are just better kept secret.
- Don't tell anything to Joe's wife.

]The Best Policy
A sound relationship is all about trust.
- Tell everything about what happened to Joe's "work" to his wife.

Reggie went back to the station to continue the investigation

It's Golden
Sometimes silence says everything.
- When inside the elevator to go to the administrator office, Krogen will start to talk to you. Remain silent to achieve this.

Joe went to the Lucky Dragon with Frank

Respectable Businessman
To control your passions shall result in positive business venture. (Lucky number is 4.)
- Make a friendly deal to Lao Hu

Extra Spicy
Really turned up the heat at a dining establishment.
- Disrespect Lao Hu or threaten him or pull out your gun.

The house in 32 Northside Way

White Knight
Extracted a young lady from a suspicious situation.
- Save the unconscious minor girl laying on Santana's couch.

A Trade's A Trade
Traded someone's personal safety for information.
- Make a deal to Santana.

In the Velvet Pearl

Yoink!
"Borrowed" a cellphone.
- Take the mobile phone of the drunk vomiting guy.

Joe The Plumber
Showed off your skills as a handyman
- After talking to the "boss," talk to the bartender and try to get a beer.

Prologue

Follow The Armani
Went after the head of a crime organization.

Stop, Murderer!
Went after a brutal killer.

Aftermath
Completed the 1st episode of The Detail: “Where the Dead Lie”
- You finished the game!

Confirm= asking "what rumors" not needed for "or else"achievement, just pick 'talk down'. I only talked to nadia 1x, when I first got there, was professional, never asked about rumors, after crime scene, talked to joe- just picked 'talk down' and the achiev. awarded. Just noted this for anyone else that was thinking they may have messed up- it still will work! :)

Btw. you can do 'Don't tell the wife' and 'Or Else' in one go, you just have to go back to the main menue when the protagonist walks away and click on continue. It will restart the first meeting with Joe in the park and this time you can click 'Talk Down'

Thanks for the guide. I noticed in the "don't tell the wife one... you have to choose "Nosy Reporter" in your conversation with Joe. So you must be polite and choose "what rumors" in convo with reporter. Then choose "mutual benefit" on phone with Joe, then choose "nosy reporter" in person when you meet Joe.

You forgot to mention that you have to also click nosy reporter when talking with Joe, if you click quid quo pro you miss out on the achievement.

did what you suggested in 'don't tell the wife' and it did not unlock anything. was professional and chose the what rumor dialect. Nothing happened even after meeting joe. Hence you must be missing another essential ingredient.

dunno, but might be useful...the achievement 'better late than never' requires u to lie with Joe when he talks to his wife in the first episode.
