The BTR 70 is currently the only vehicle available as a “pseudo IFV” in Vanilla Reforger. Due to its size, the BRDM is a reconnaissance vehicle—its armor is pretty much identical. That's why we're limiting ourselves to the BTR. You'll be surprised by the results.

STUDY SUMMARY
In combination with other forces, the BTR70 (1972) fulfills its purpose. As a vehicle that transports infantry from A to B with a “certain degree of protection” and a certain amount of firepower. Like the LAV25, it is completely unsuitable for combat.

Alone and without support, it is a smoking pile of scrap metal and "obsolete" for the 1989 timeline. The BTR-80 (1984) would have been a more suitable model. Above all, it would have had a better angle of -5 +60.
.50 cal
LEVEL: Very Dangerous. In an old study, the .50 cal penetrated the front armor with ease. Apparently, something has been changed.

7.62 NATO
LEVEL: Dangerous. Especially under sustained fire.

5.56 NATO
LEVEL : Low. The vehicle can withstand fire from 5.56 or the Russian version 5.45. However, the tires are vulnerable.

25 mm Bushmaster (AT)
LEVEL : Absolutely deadly. The armor was pierced multiple times and the bullets exited through the engine!

25 mm Bushmaster (HE)
LEVEL : No “breakthrough.” Pure fireworks.

14.5 (KPVT)
LEVEL : Deadly.

7.62 USSR
LEVEL : In our case, no breakthrough was achieved.

RPG-22
LEVEL : Deadly

M72
LEVEL : Deadly. NATO disposable launcher. Very handy. Lightweight, but still deadly.

70mm HEAT (RPG7)
LEVEL : Deadly. This ammunition and weapon are used by the FIA. It is not the actual penetration that kills, but the enormous fragments that fill the passenger compartment with hot shrapnel!

105 mm "Tandem" (RPG7)
LEVEL : Deadly. The range of this ammunition is only 200 meters. But it is the KILLER 1 for those who want to be sure to kill.

Hydra (AT)
LEVEL : Hell on earth. A rocket is death. Hydra rockets are highly accurate, lethal, and pose a threat to infantry, vehicles, and even helicopters (Mi-8). Air defense should therefore take all necessary measures to counter any threat posed by (UH-1)!
