This mod is a standalone version of the Shek subrace known as Kezoks!

The keen among you will notice that the Kezoks in this mod are green instead of the more popular yellow. Those who are even more in the know will recognize these specific Kezoks as those from Treadlightly77's popular mod "Shek Kingdom Augmented".

And you wouldn't be crazy for thinking so! In fact, you're spot on.

A Standalone Kezok Mod?

Essentially, I've taken Treadlightly's mod Shek Kingdom Augmented and trimmed out everything aside from just the Shek subrace. It was a pain, not gonna lie. But seeing as how there's really no option for a Kezok standalone subrace beyond just making one, I thought it was worth the time investment. No more altering the Shek Kingdom buildings, no more weapons, just plain, pure extra subrace goodness!

I believe credit should be given where credit is due. I didn't ask permission to upload the Kezoks as a standalone since Treadlightly's version of the mod basically ceased to be nearly a decade ago. Even more so, it was pretty much absorbed and altered in UWE to my knowledge.

Still, credit where credit is due. Making It Fit

Beyond removing what I deemed unnecessary, I also altered a few things. Kezoks now have a slightly altered backstory as the better dodging bunch of the race. This caused a lot of discrimination because duh, dodging is for cowards!

The second change then, obviously, is that Kezoks are better at dodging. I definitely recommend using the Dra'ak standalone and the mod that patches the Dra'ak's special skill to melee defense. They all compliment each other really well! One melee attacker, one melee defender, and one dodger!

In The World!

The original mod already had a great recruitment system set up in place (you'll find Kezoks in bars like usual). Nobody likes race mods where only you the player can be the race; you want to see them in the world with you. I've also followed the lead of the standalone Dra'ak mod, so wherever there's a chance for Dra'aks to spawn, you might also find a Kezok.

Tell Me What Needs Fixed

If you see some problems or bugs, let me know. I'll do my best to work them out. That said, the main issue with the Shek Kingdom mod was the actual changing of the map stuff itself. The subrace should be pretty smooth on its own.
