What Are Cross of Saint James
The Cross of Saint James is a collectible you'll stumble across throughout your time in Seattle.

These gold pointed crosses show up in nine different havens around the city, each one belonging to one of the major players. But here's the thing. They don't glow when you use Heightened Senses, which makes them annoying to spot since they blend right into the background decor.

You can start picking these up the moment you gain control of Phyre, but the actual quest "Crosses to Bear" comes from Patience. She's the vampire artist who's turned the back room of Aurora Pawn into her studio. Talk to her about her art and she'll ask you to collect all nine crosses for her current project.

Now, this is important. You might find some of these crosses while playing as Fabien during Echo sequences. They don't count. Only crosses collected as Phyre, the Nomad, actually register for the quest and the achievement. And speaking of achievements, grab all nine and you'll unlock "Crucifixation."

One more thing before we dive into locations. There's a missable warning you need to know about. You have to collect all nine crosses before entering Weaver Tower during the main quest "The Coursing of the Rats." That's the third-to-last main story mission. Once you enter Weaver Tower during that specific quest, you can't leave. Which means any crosses you missed are locked out unless you reload an earlier save or start a new playthrough.

The reward? 2,000 XP, a relationship boost with Patience (and the option to feed on her if you're into that), plus after turning them all in, you can interact with Bonehead to learn something new about the mysterious skull.
