Finding Game Path
First you need to find the path to your game. To do that you'll:
  • Right click the game in your Steam Library and press "Properties"

  • Click on the "Installed Files" tab on the left
  • At the top of the tab there is a "Browse" button, click it.

  • It will open file explorer with the game directory open.
  • Click the address bar at the top to highlight the path and copy it.
Setting Up Launch Options
  • Next you will go to your Steam Library, right click the game and select "Properties"
  • The window it opens on will contain a "Launch Options" box
  • Into that box you will paste the before copied path
  • Behind that path you will add \Bloodlines2.exe and put the whole thing in quotation marks.
  • Then put a space there and add %command%

It should look something like this:

Keep in mind that the path could look different to mine depending on where you installed your game. As long as it leads to the Bloodline2.exe file, it'll work.
Uninstall Paradox Launcher
Delete this ♥♥♥♥.

If you've done everything correctly the game should now launch without installing or launching the Paradox Launcher.

I played the entire game without the launcher and have all achievements. I'm sure. Gotta be something else.

Are you sure it doesn't disable steam achievements, because my steam says I'm not playing any game when I have it running... I'm just showing as Online...

Here is another problem with it - When you uninstall the game from Steam, it leaves the Paradox launcher installed.

@K708 Oh it got even worse. I had to completely reinstall the game to another drive because trying to use the Launcher to sync to the cloud broke the game actually launching at all. The Launcher is just a bunch of problems that don't need to be there.

So I just went ahead and decided to backup my own saves from now on and just break the launcher perma. Thanks for the guide here to at least do that.

Personally I didn't have an issue with this myself, odd.

@K708 However, this locks out save syncing, just a heads up, dang, because it means, I gotta let the thing reinstall everytime I wanna upload saves. Then uninstall it everytime. Then go back to the Launcher folder and delete all of that. Fun fun.

@olvrin No, it doesn't disable achievements

Nevermind that, it works again, just make SURE to go back into the Launcher folder and DELETE the Launcher folder files, works on both GOG Launcher and Steam now.

Does skipping the Paracrap launcher disable Steam achievements?

Works with GOG but not ON GOG's launcher, interesting note, but noted.
