How to effectively maximize charm space/phone calls using void charms
By Solace
This guide aims to help you get up to 16+ (18+ on the first love memory card) or more total charms on your runs to make broken builds easier to make as well as take advantage of phone calls.

Introduction
There are 3 total void charms: Abyssu, Vorago, and Barathrum. I'll explain each of them in their sections. I've never seen these methods mentioned aside from the cigarette one, so I thought of sharing these.
Abyssu + Cardboard House
Abyssu
Whenever you buy a charm that has "doesn't take space," it will be banned until Abyssu is discarded, but once you discard Abyssu, the charm will be unbanned and will activate the charm again, though Abyssu can only ban 1 charm, so trying to ban another would just replace the old one.
Cardboard House
(Doesn't take space) +1 charm space; after buying this charm, it will never show up again.

Strategy
If you buy the Cardboard House while Abyssu is present, then it will activate and then get banned. Then if you discard Abyssu it will activate the Cardboard House one extra time before being discarded, effectively letting you use the Cardboard House twice.

Example
Here i have Abyssu on my table

I found Cardboard House, so I bought it for the extra space, which will also ban it since I have Abyssu

Went from 7 slots to 8

Now I discard Abyssu since it has Cardboard House banned

And BOOM! went from 7/7 to 6/9 (nice)

Abyssu + Cigarettes
Cigarettes
(doesn't take space) Increases all symbols by their base value, rerolls the store, but keeps this charm displayed.

Strategy
Same as last time, if you buy Cigarettes while Abyssu is present, then it will activate and then ban it, but if you put Abyssu in the cabinet, then the ban isn't active, letting you store Abyssu to discard later for Cigarette spamming next deadline.

Example
Have Abyssu present

Buy Cigarettes

If Cigarettes is displayed on Abyssu, then put it in the cabinet for the next deadline

You can now discard Abyssu next deadline if you want to spam Cigarettes for rerolls

Quick note: Cigarettes only gets banned when you hit the restock button while abyssu (with cigs banned) is on your table.
Barathrum + Megaphone stacking
Barathrum
Whenever you pick a phone ability, it gets activated and then gets banned. If you discard this charm, the ability gets unbanned and then activates again. Only 1 ability can be banned at a time; banning another takes the old one's place.

Megaphone
(-1 charm space) Any ability you pick at the telephone triggers again and can be used to get abilities that can only be used once.

Before we go over the strategy, there are some phone abilities that can be picked once or twice, so it's best to wait till you get the Megaphone and Barathrum in order to maximize those abilities' use. Also shoutout to IngoH on the info for this.

Limited phone call abilities
This has 1 max use; it comes from the normal caller. It's best to not take it early and take it once you get Megaphone/Barathrum.

This has 1 max use; it comes from the angel caller. You would have Megaphone/Barathrum at that point.

This has 2 max uses; it comes from the angel caller. Same as above, you would already have the Megaphone/Barathrum if lucky enough.

Strategy
Having Megaphone lets you get an extra phone ability; pair it with Barathrum, and it's 4 total phone abilities. (6 if you are using the first love memory card.) This can drastically affect your run. If you get the +1 charm space ability, you can effectively get 4. If you get the 1+ pattern trigger ability, then it's 4+ pattern triggers. If you get the -1 max charge ability, then it's a straight up -4 charges, making most high charges cost 1..

Example
Here I have both Barathrum and Megaphone at 9/8

Taking this ability will net me +2 space instead of +1 thanks to the Megaphone (click to zoom in)

Went from 9/8 to 9/10

Since Barathrum banned the ability, I discarded it and got an extra +2 (thanks to the Megaphone, it goes from +1 to +2), going from 9/10 to 8/12 (originally 9/8)

Took the Megaphone back to the cabinet to show you the actual space count (7/13)
Vorago (going above charm cap twice)
Whenever you discard a charm on the table, it gets banned. If you discard this charm, it will unban the charm and will force it to be equipped (even if you are at max space). It can only ban 1 charm, so banning a new one will take the old one's place.

Quick note: You can't dupe charms with this. If you discard a charm into Vorago, then buy the charm again, then discard Vorago, it won't give a copy of the charm, leading to Vorago giving nothing if the charm is already present.

Fun fact: the banned charm won't lose its trait, so unbanning it will bring back the charm with its trait.

Strategy
You can ban a charm that costs 2 space, then put Vorago in the cabinet, and once you reach max space, you can discard Vorago while it's in the cabinet to force that charm to go to your table.

Example
Here i have Vorago

I'll discard this 2 space charm to store it in Vorago

If the charm is displayed on Vorago, then put it in the cabinet

Right now I'm on 7/9, so I'll get it to 9/9

Made it to 9/9, leaving no space left

Now I discard Vorago inside the cabinet

Now the charm is on my table, and even though it was already out of space (9/9)

Quick note: if you are on, for example, 6/7 storage and took a charm from the cabinet that takes 2 spaces, then it will just be 7/6 (the charm is actually 1 space but decreases the limit by 1).

I had 8/9, and after taking the Megaphone from the cabinet, it went to 9/8 (it goes back to normal if you put it back in the cabinet)

Despite that, I'll discard Vorago inside the cabinet

Now it's 10/7, effectively going above the cap again

Vorago costs 4 tickets. The item I discarded sold for 2, and Vorago also sold for 2, so I didn't even spend any tickets to begin with… making this free or even a profit depending on the sell value of the charm. (Reminder that traits stay after banning and then unbanning the charm.)
Vorago (Infinite Rounds)
Weird Clock
(Usable) (12 charges.) Gain 1 extra round for this deadline. If you trigger this charm 5+ times in a single deadline, discard it.

Strategy
The Weird clock has a long charge meter; even if charge isn't an issue, it can only be used 5 times in a single deadline. After that, it's automatically discarded, but if Vorago is present at your table, then the Weird clock is automatically stored in that charm, meaning you can just discard Vorago to get the Weird clock again, leading to infinite rounds if you keep rolling for Vorago.

Example
I don't recommend discarding Weird clock manually, as it's best to let it discard itself to maximize its use, but I'll do it just to showcase how it works.

Here I've used the Weird clock, and it's on low charge and has 4 uses left before it gets discarded this deadline.

I discarded the Weird clock, so now it's stored in Vorago, so I'll discard it.

Now here I have the Weird clock again with full charges and 5 uses left, allowing me to extend the rounds further if I get Vorago again just to repeat this cycle

Made it to 19 total rounds and can even go up to 100 if I want to, allowing me to set up something crazy...

I can use any pictures to increase the chance of the symbol, increasing it up to 90% very quickly, and it will stay until this deadline ends (if I want it to end). Also, DO NOT DISCARD THE PICTURE/PUT IT IN THE CABINET; IT WILL RESET THE BONUS.

Over 90% already

Charms that can boost this even further
Before I go over the charms, there are 2 of them that benefit bell/clover symbols. Both of these charms make a drastic difference, so I believe clover/bell symbols work the best with this method.

Sacred Heart (Angel charm)
50% chance of not consuming charges when triggered.

The Blood (Angel charm)
Gives modifiers on symbols. 15% chance for repetition on lemon/cherry. 5% chance for battery on clover/bell. 15% chance for chain on diamond/treasure/seven. The one in bold is what we are looking for in this strategy.

AA Batteries
6% chance for clover/bell symbols to have the battery modifier.

Electrician
5% chance for the battery modifier to be on any symbol. Decreases by 1% per round. Discard at 0%. Be careful using this charm, as it can also discard itself, taking Weird clocks place inside Vorago.

Personal Trainer
25% for a repetition modifier on any symbol. Decreases by 5% per round. Discards at 0%. This can also discard itself, so be aware when it will reach 0% so it won't take Weird clocks place.

Scaling + Easy Memory Packs
With all the free time you have with the never ending deadline, you can focus on scaling as long as you want… Then go crazy with skipping the rest of the deadlines, leading to crazy amounts of memory packs. Here are a few scaling charms that will keep scaling as long as the deadline isn't over.

Very Big Mushroom
Whenever 15+ patterns trigger during a spin, x2 value to all symbols until the end of the deadline. If the value of your symbol is, for example, 10 and this triggers, then it's 20. If it triggers again, then it goes to 40, constantly going times two.

Bell Pepper
(Triggers randomly 10%) +0 luck for the current spin. Increases by 2 for every restock. Ends after this deadline.

Rotten Pepper
(Triggers randomly 10%) +0 luck for the current spin. Whenever 3+ patterns trigger during a spin, it increases by 3. Ends after this deadline.

Did you know?
Getting 999 actually triggers 666 charms. There are some 666 charms that have scaling. I found a comment on another guide explaining how to get crazy scaling using Baphomet, so HUGE shoutout to Anguish. I got crazy fun runs with this. If you have the fixation memory card, then it's even better.

Baphomet
Whenever a 666 or 999 appears, double the value of patterns "above" and "below," permanently.

Possessed Cell Phone
(Usable) (3 charges.) Grants 666 next spin, from the 3rd deadline onwards. (666 can be accumulated)

Nuclear Button
(-1 charm space) all charms triggered by the red button trigger one more time.

Ophanim Wheels (Angel Charm)
Every time you score a 999, the next spin will have a jackpot. (Jackpots can be accumulated, so if you get 999 two times in a row, then you have 2 jackpots ready.)

Book of Shadows
1.5% chance of scoring a 666. If you score a 666 or 999, gain 3+ spins. Lowers by 1 spin each use. Resets to 3+ spins at round end.

Ancient Coin
(Usable) (1 charge.) After the next spin you gain 1 extra spin with +7 luck. For every round, 15% chance of discarding this charm after the 3rd use.

Gabihbb'h
Every time you score a 666 or 999, double the symbols multiplier until the round ends.

Adam's Ribcage (Angel Charm)
Every time you score a 666 or 999, double the pattern's multiplier until the round ends.

Eternity (Angel Charm)
Every time you score a 666 or 999, +1 pattern repetition until the round ends.

Strategy
With the Nuclear button you can trigger Possessed Cell Phone + Ancient Coin twice, leading to more spins and 999 rolls and even more spins from Book of Shadows. allowing you to boost Gabihbb'h, Adam's Ribcage, Eternity, and even Baphomet to crazy heights and accumulate a ton of jackpots from Ophanim.
Conclusion
Void charms are crazy strong. Here's how much space I got with this method (no memory cards).

Here I also used Vorago to get in more charms (16/13)

You can also use the "Help!" call ability from the Angel caller to get lucky charms even though you are already at max charms (can potentially get to near 30 if not more total charms) (click to zoom in.)

Thanks for checking out my guide! This is my first guide on Steam, so let me know if there are any errors or anything new you discovered with this.

Happy gambling...

About the cigs, it's not duped, it stays in the shop even when banned unless you hit the restock button while abyssu (cigs banned) is on your table. I'm sorry for the confusion, I'll update my guide with more info on this
Solace  [author] 15 Oct @ 9:18am
I tried to see if I could dupe items with vorago, though sadly whenever I ban a charm into vorago, then buy the charm, and then discard vorago, then vorago won't drop anything since the item is already present at the table. Sadly, barathrum can't be duped either

Is it even possible to get double charms with vorago? If it works with cigs then it should with everything else. Then I guess you could go for 9x with two megaphones and two barathrums
echowiki 15 Oct @ 7:10am
Ok so theoretically with a lot of setup you can ban barathrum with vorago, put it in the cabinet, buy a second barathrum and then go for 6x phone abilities
Solace  [author] 15 Oct @ 12:41am
Sadly, it doesn't work. I've tested storing the cardboard box in abyssu and then discarding it into vorago, but that would remove the cardboard box out of abyssu first, and then it would get stored into vorago. The same goes for barathrum, it removes the phone call first and then gets stored
The Seven 14 Oct @ 3:15pm
solace do you know if you can discard a abysuu or baruthum into a vorago and then discard the vorago to get them back with the item it had stored previously? (so you could get a abysuu with a cardboard box back after you discard it once)

@iWriteSins Ayy, no problem! I used to think Vorago was the only useless one and never added it to this guide until I discovered how useful it actually is :os_niko:

@DENIS Yeah, it's crazy how you can get every single angel charm above the charm space cap
iWriteSins 11 Oct @ 11:29pm
i think ive been using the abyssu and barathrum to their potential, but i was completely lost on how to utilize the vorago! awesome guide, thank you!! :os_niko:
