Just in case you didn't know, a "Clang Drive" allows you to break the games physiques and instantly travel from zero - max speed in 1 second, regardless of the ships size and weight. (Unless you have a mod that allows you to go faster than the game allows, then you can travel at about 120 meters each time the device extends, reaching up to 660 meters per second, as long as you don't change your direction too much. This device also works inside the atmosphere.)

Another way to put this, in order to get at max speed by following the games rules, even with 50 of the most powerful thrusters, it would take well over 30 seconds to reach 100 meters per second.
