The map is called "Bai Mountain 2". Mods I used to help me are Left for Bots 2(with adjustments) and Admin System.

Bai Mountain 2 is all about trial and error, patience, pre-existing knowledge, backtracking, extreme parkour, and persistence, just like the developer states in the credits.
This video is both a passion project and a challenge I accepted: to do it solo.

Yes, commands and mods were used. I don’t care about “get good” or “used commands” comments. One thing to understand (if you’re that type of person): this is a game. Fun should be the only thing that matters. Not “who’s better,” not “who did it better.” You can’t prove skill in a rigged environment—especially one designed to frustrate and addict you until you either finish or give up.

Bai Mountain 2 is basically EOMM (Engagement Optimized Matchmaking) in disguise. Like in LoL and other games, the environment is engineered to keep you hooked through frustration. I’ll get back to this later.

I did a practice run on Advanced, then attempted Expert for the first time. The game randomly decides outcomes chapter by chapter, with difficulty affecting things (notably C3 boss fight). Almost every chapter includes unfair spawns forcing you to take damage. The developer clearly aimed for this—lots of frustration, lots of backtracking.

Both Bai Mountain 2 and EOMM thrive on unfairness, creating addictive emotional loops. EOMM rigs matches; Bai Mountain 2 uses random spawns and variables to screw you. Finishing this map without commands would require 20 hours a day learning it inside out.

I didn’t enjoy the actual run—plenty of pain, visible moments of me losing patience. The longer it dragged on, the more mistakes I made. I didn’t do it all in one sitting either; I took breaks, did chores, even went out before continuing. This wasn’t about proving skill. Others can do it better, more entertaining. My goal was to show it can be done solo. That’s why I used commands—I value my time.

I also studied the Left for Bots 2 mod, replacing the “hurry” command with a “lock” command making bots shoot your target. That breakthrough made soloing possible. Without this mod—or four human players—the map is impossible by design. Every area screams for a full human team.

Don’t try this map, kids. Only the insane, streamers, and YouTubers will ever attempt it. It’s like Armed & Delirious—without a guide, you’ll never escape.

This map is basically psychological horror without the artistry. Unlike Kane & Lynch 2 or Spec Ops: The Line, it doesn’t provoke deep thought or emotion—just the self-awareness of “why am I even playing this unfair mess?”

It’s abstract design, sure, but the forced deaths and broken L4D flow make it madness. This map alone changes L4D into something else. It’ll stick with you like PTSD. Just like the Gordon Ramsay Tank mod keeps yelling “in denial”—that’s you playing this.

My takeaway: wake up from the nonsense of “who’s better” and “it’s all about skill”—in games and in life. Value your time. Choose wisely what games, apps, or media you invest in. Games mirror life: the struggles, the humility, the truth. Spec Ops: The Line dives into this, but that’s beyond this video.

Maybe this map wasn’t meant that way. Maybe it was just for fun. Still, its design feels suspect. Regardless, this reflects my experience across gaming and even life outside it. Don’t take everything literally—or too seriously. Especially not the trivial stuff.
