Brief Background
(!Spoiler Alert!)
(Note: This map isn't 100% accurate, but it gives a rough idea of the power layout in SoD)

[Kingdom of Iria]
Iria is a tiny country surrounded by multiple large countries. Iria discovered a new mines of luxite crystals and have been experimenting with the spells powered by the crystals. Some neighboring countries aren't happy with their discovery and wanted a piece of the cake. This is where our story begins and where the battle happened when the Unions invaded Iria.

Below are important cities of Iria heavily related to the history in play:
- Waverun City
This is the 1st city being invaded by the Union. And the Union use this as their base to further invade Iria.
- Mine City
The once flourished city where the new crystal are found. Also the base of the "Dark Light" terrorists.

[Vlder Highlands]
Home of the beast-like Vlder tribes nearing the borders of Iria and Elaman.

[The Knights Union]
The Western Knights Union. Where luxite crystals are used in powerful weapon making. They invaded Iria in the name of "protection" and "justice".

[The Papal States of Rodinia]
The "Holy" Empire of Rodinia. Where the miracle spells powered by the luxite crystals are being controlled and monitored of its usage. So the discovery of new a new crystal mines in Iria isn't a pleasing news for them and they planned to sabotage secretly however they can without hurting their "holy image".

[Elaman Empire]
The Eastern Empire of Elaman. Where slavery is a thing. Especially enslaving the Vlders has become a trend in this country. They are in good terms with any countries willing to do business with them and expanded their trade routes all over the place.

[Lucia]
The Northen Empire of Lucia. Where mercenaries flourish as a business.
Spiral of Destinies Game Modes
You can change the story you wished to play after you enter the Spiral of Destinies by clicking on the "next" page icon, this will switch between the different stories you can play.

As of new update, they've added an easier way to scroll between the story mode in SoD.
Just click on the 3 lines icon to pick the story mode you want to play.

[Original Spiral of Destinies]

This is the main history/lore mode of the game. But don't get confused with the main story of the game, which is the Fool's Journey. SoD is a simulator made to experience different "possibilities" in the spiral timeline. Your protagonist never did left the Elysium nor is he/she changing the history. He/She is only exploring the possibilities of the outcomes by the help of the SoD machine. While Fool's Journey is the main story where you are promised a wish granted to change your destiny upon gathered all the missing tarot cards.

Currently there are multiple routes of stories and endings you can reach in SoD, the 3 main major routes will be:

[1] The Original Iria Route - designed to be the main history route, they've added a 3rd ending on one of their anniversary giving this route a possible good ending. You will be defending your country against the invaders on this route.

[2] The Knights of Union Route - this route gives more insights of the invaders, letting you know more of what's happening on the invader's side.

[3] The Papal States Route - this route gives insights of the dark power and mastermind plots going on in behind the history.

These 3 above tell the original background stories and basic lore of SoC. So it's recommended to finish these 3 1st before jumping to other available routes.

Then there's the "alternatives", the "better endings", recommended to play after you finished the 3 major routes, where you can only fully enjoy after you have known the basic history background of the game.

[4] The Elaman Routes - This route takes a full different approach to the history, where you settle things and changed history by doing business.

[5] The Ideal Ending from Inanna's Dream - This route happened after Inanna's nightmare, so it's recommended to play that arc before doing this route for full understanding. In this route, a lot of new characters are added as well.

[?] Hero's Adventure - Beryl's Experimental enable her to create a brand new beacon route in the SoD simulator. This route is basically a quick run for veterans to get Lore Exp, especially for those who doesn't like too much complications in micro-management.

[Crimson/Scarlet Arc]

This is a story predated before the waverun tragedy, where the protagonist isn't related at all. It's more a story of young Rawiyah and Safiyyah, before the Hangman department is created in Iria. This arc introduced more gacha characters like alt Rawiyah and Safiyyah as well as more SR characters.

[Inanna's Nightmare]

This part happened or continued from one of the event story (sadly there's no way to repeat those, so it's recommend to search youtube for a recap). It has something to do about Beryl's experimental success in creating the Hero's Adventure Beacon, and they further explore the void to collect ingredients needed for another beacon. When they finally did it, Inanna's volunteered to be the one to shape this new beacon's timeline. In short, this is the part where Inanna challenged the SoD to see if she can creates a brand new route of story, and she somehow got stuck in between and have to face her own fear to turn into a new leaf before she can continue. And this further continued into the ideal ending in the main SoD routes.
Voyage/Timeline Chart

The timeline chart shows your current progress as well as the story and routes you have unlocked so far. You can use this chart to jump to certain previously played anchor points (the green ones).
Beacons and Anchors
Beacons
Beacons shown in the timeline are starting points where you can start your journey from within the SoD. You can only pick a beacon when starting a brand new run.

Beacons can be unlocked by getting certain endings or from the event page.
Be very well aware that unlocking beacons from the event page will trigger a series of time limited quests that you must finish in time to get the rewards. So it's not recommended to unlock them all at once, you can only do 1 route at a time anyway unless it's an alternative time line beacons (which are on a different page apart from the original SoD).

Each unlocked beacons will let you start the run at a later point, with a special animated cut-scene. So it's recommended to collect them all.

Getting the Beacons:
[1] Starting Beacon: There should be a force-click tutorial that bring you to click and get this beacon once you've unlocked the required Tarot from the Fool's Journey.

[2] Main 3 faction route starting Beacons: These 3 beacons are unlocked once you reach any of the endings. These allows you to start the run with higher favor of certain faction to help you get into their routes easier.

[3] Alternative Ending Beacons: Each of these are often given out after you reached that specific ending OR reached the bad ending of that faction's route. So it's recommended to aim for the bad ending of each route first, else you might need to replay the same ending again just to watch the extra animation to unlock the rewards.

[4] Unique Ending Beacons: These are given out during anniversary or during the implementation of a new route in an event. These event stayed and will only start when you redeem the beacons from them. Most of these events are time limited. So make sure you finished one before starting another one.

Anchors
Anchors shown in the timeline are save/check points, where you can replay your journey from a previous way point.

Anchors with save data are light up as green, those without are in grey. Though if you are a new player, all your anchors should light up as green the moment you unlocked them. The grey ones are there for older players who finished those chapters before the anchor implementation update. For older players, you can light up the anchor to green simply by replaying the routes, but you will need to start from the beginning or from the beacons.
Witness of a Tragedy Ending

This is the 1st ever ending you will be getting in the time line.

[4] Do not give the evidence to Auguste
[5] Week 44: Hire Miguel with 90k merchant cash
[6] Do not publish the proves given to you by Miguel, instead give it to Samantha

[2]Ending 2

Note that you will be needing the 90k in this one, so be prepared for it while not getting the other faction's favor too high other than Papal's.
  • Fail Iria (Fail the Luxite mission),
  • Fail Union (Side with Auguste),
  • Succeed Papal (give Samantha the evidence)
[1] Week34~39: Fail Inanna's request (Ignore the trade and let them expire)

For This Peaceful World Ending
To get this route, all you need is to go to the Event tab to unlock the beacon (require Lore Lv20), then start the run using that beacon.

Ideal Ending

This is the ideal ending from Inanna's vision.
There isn't a separate branch so far so there's only 1 ending for this route.

Hero's Adventure
To get this route, all you need is to go to the Event tab to unlock the beacon (require Lore Lv20), then start the run using that beacon.

Note that due to this is a short run of Beryl's Experimental Creation. There isn't any real endings for this route nor it is recorded in the SoD timeline. It's a short run meant for veterans to get some fast Lore EXP to level up their Lore Levels.

But it does acts as an anchor story that leads to the Peaceful World Ideal Ending. So if you want the full story, do give this a go.
Getting Stronger after each Run

After each run, you get points to unlock certain benefit nodes, which let you start a new run with extra benefits and boosters. These also unlocks certain new recruits in your new runs. So remember to distribute these points for good use! The advice here is at least get the 5th hero import slot unlocked, it will help your run significantly in a certain beacon later.

Note: The points are only rewarded at the end of the run when doing the Original SoD runs. You don't get these from the other modes nor do these bonuses are used in the other modes.
