No, it will not double your max fps, it will just increase it to max possible value it should have been. Been wondering why GPU usage is inconsitent, sometime 40%, sometimes 60% ? Is it because of Nvidia drivers or optimus. I tried a fix and it kinda worked.

1. Try playing in borderless full-screen i.e. turn exclusive fullscreen off. Game slowly loses performance on full-screen for some reason. Turn it off from Main Menu, not inside. And never touch that setting again. Vsync isn't an issue and you can leave it.

2. Nvidia control panel, give it maximum performance under power setting and low latency mode to ultra.

3. Now the most important bit, add following launch options,

-nologos -high -useallavailablecores -dx12 -drawmovieframe -ingamenosprites

The game for some reason doesnt work good in normal priority, that is why it doesnt work on modern GPUs but works good in non optimus cards like 1050m or so. If you change priority while running it wont work. In game properties, just add those 6 words, and your FPS will double or triple. Was getting 20 FPS in old town, now like 100.
