EotL; short for "End of the Line" was a highly ambitious Source Film Maker project launched by James McVinnie one of the most highly estemed Machinima makers in all of Team Fortress 2, the video had grown lots of hype around it and Valve eventually decided to include the video in an update.

On 12/9/14 (American Date System) the End of the Line update was released, alongside the SFM (Source Film Maker) video.

No, it has no reason to affect you unless you choose to let the update affect you, the update has come with no major nerfs or game changing aspects.

If you so wish, the update is non-existant.

Quite simple you, you can watch the 14 minute (I remember people saying it was 17 minutes) long video on Jame's Channel, make sure to like the video and subscribe to McVinnie he's done a fantastic job, as needs all the help he can get.

So......you've found out one way or another that the update had new crates eh?

Well it's quite simple, make sure you have an EotL (End of the Line) community crate, in your inventory otherwise the key will be rather silly. Now head over to the community market, or the Mann. Co store, whichever happens to be cheaper at the time, and spend aprox: 2.50 USD (United State's Dollar)

Now press N ingame and it should take you to your backback, select your key and push the "Use" option, now you'll want to scroll through your backpack and find the crate, take your time if you have more then one, it doesn't make a real difference but I'm sentimental and I have to find just the right crate to unbox.

Now it's going to ask if you're sure, make sure you really want to do this, understand the key itself is probably worth MORE then a regular Mann Co supply crate key, meaning if you bought a few and sold them for 1 key and 3 refined, you'd be able to buy even more of the EotL (End of the Line) keys when they go down in price.

There is currently not a full list of unusual effects for these hats, I will update my list as I continue my research.

So is the update starting to seem boring?

Well it should, the update originally came with a map that Valve didn't even have to make themselves it was called "cp_snowplow" there should still be a beta of the map running, Valve scrapped the idea because it was "Too confusing" Ironically maps like Robot Destruction, and Cp_Steall (evil!) exist.


On the bright side......ducks.

The Ducks are Money Grubbing Ducks, but ducks none the less!

They raise funds for the mafia Run!
I'd hate to bad mouth Valve they're one of the best companies around, surely the #1 Video Game company, but I have no choice they promised PROMISED new weapons and a map, both were scrapped and instead we have a reskin, money grubbing ducks, and some hats that we really don't need more of.

I understand if you're disapointed, but don't worry many other great updates are right around the corner, like Smissmiss and Spy Vs Engie.

And you can never go wrong with more taunts (even if you have to uncrate for them because they aren't on the Mann Co Store #MoneyGrubbing) maybe you enjoy it, maybe you became the richest person in Team Fortress 2 and have a one of a kind unusual effect.
