Overview of the Tools in the Toolbar
The toolbar is usually located at the bottom or on the side. It contains the basic building and editing tools.

1. Wall Tool
Symbol:
  • Wall icon or brick
Function:
  • Allows you to draw walls.
  • Click and drag to set length, shape, and curvature.
  • Automatically connects walls to existing structures.
Tip: Use it to define the layout of your castle.

2. Tower Tool
Symbol:
  • Tower or round tower icon
Function:
  • Places a tower manually.
  • Clicking on the ground creates a single tower.
  • Height can be adjusted by dragging.
  • Towers automatically connect to walls.
Tip: Use towers as corner points or highlights.

3. Gate or Arch Tool
Symbol:
  • Archway or gate icon
Function:
  • Manually adds gates or arches into walls.
  • Clicking on an existing wall inserts a passageway.
  • Size can often be adjusted.
Tip: Ideal for entrances, courtyards, and pathways.

4. Fence Tool
Symbol:
  • Fence or picket fence icon
Function:
  • Draws simple fences, e.g. for gardens or boundaries.
  • Works like walls: click and drag.
  • Adapts to the terrain automatically.

5. Decoration Elements
Symbol:
  • Flower, leaf, or ornament icon
Function:
  • Manually adds plants, flowers, ivy, or small ornaments.
  • Clicking on walls or towers places decorations.
  • Some details appear automatically - this tool lets you add them intentionally.

6. Erase Tool
Symbol:
  • Eraser or trash bin
Function:
  • Clicking on an element removes it.
  • Alternatively, use right-click or the Delete key.

7. Undo / Redo
Symbol:
  • Arrows back and forward
Function:
  • Undo: Removes the last action.
  • Redo: Restores an undone action.

8. Camera or View Tools
Symbol:
  • Eye or camera icon
Function:
  • Switches between different view modes, if available.
  • Some versions allow taking screenshots directly here.

9. Settings / Options
Symbol:
  • Gear icon
Function:
  • Access to game options: graphics, audio, controls.
  • May also include save and load options, if supported.

Important

Tooltips: When you hover your mouse over a tool, Tiny Glade often shows a short description.
  • Context-sensitive: Some tools automatically activate others. For example, when you draw a wall, towers are automatically suggested at the ends.

  • Minimalism: Tiny Glade is deliberately designed with only a few tools — the rest happens through smart auto-building.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why doesn’t my wall connect to the tower?
  • Drag the wall end closer to the tower
  • Change the angle slightly until it snaps in

How to extend walls later?
  • Click the wall → drag the endpoint → done

Change tower height?
  • Click the tower → hold and drag up/down

Build a closed courtyard?
  • Connect all walls fully
  • Make sure ends meet or add towers at corners

Why no ivy?
  • Walls might not be connected
  • Close gaps or use the decoration tool

Delete a part?
  • Click the element → press Delete or use Eraser
  • Right-click works too

Rotate the camera?
  • Hold middle mouse button + move the mouse

Move doors/arches?
  • Usually easier to delete and place again

Save/load projects?
  • Check the gear icon for “Save/Load”
  • Otherwise, take screenshots

Why does my castle look too blocky?
  • Slightly bend walls
  • Vary tower heights
  • Add arches/details
