Hello. After the game update on May 29, the ability to play online via Games for Windows Live was cut, as well as your saved status in the game. This guide will allow you to return these features to you, pending the full binding of the game to Steamworks.
WARNING!!! The files from the archive presented in the link below were taken from the second account, where the game had not yet been updated. The functionality of this method has been tested on this account, from which the guide was written. If something went wrong for you, please let me know. Unfortunately, I do not speak English well enough, so the text was translated using a google translator.
RU: Приветствую вас. После обновления игры 29 мая, были вырезаны возможности играть в мультиплеер через Games for Windows Live и сохраненный статус в ней. Данный гайд позволит вам вернуть эти функции обратно до полной привязки игры к Steamworks.
ВНИМАНИЕ!!! Файлы в архиве по ссылке ниже были позаимствованы из игры на моём втором аккаунте, где игра еще не подверглась обновлению. Работоспособность данного способа проверена на этом аккаунте, с которого написано руководство. Если же у вас что то пошло не так, то просьба сообщите мне. Английским я не владею в достаточной мере, так что за ошибки прошу понять и простить.

ENG: In the library, right-click on the game and select "properties".
RU: В библиотеке жмем правой кнопкой мыши по игре, выбираем "свойства".

ENG: In the installed files tab, select overview "browse".
RU: Во вкладке установленные файлы, выбираем обзор

ENG: Drag the files from the downloaded archive into the game directory, confirming the replacement.
RU: Файлы из скачанного архива перетаскиваете в директорию с игрой, подтверждая замену.

ENG: Then delete the files xlive.dll and xlive.pdb.
RU: Затем удаляете файлы xlive.dll и xlive.pdb.

ENG: Launch the game and press the home key. If you did everything correctly, a window with the entrance to the profile will appear.
RU: Запускаете игру и нажимаете клавишу домой. Если всё сделали верно, то появиться окно со входом в профиль.

WARNING!!!

ENG: If for some reason after replacing the files you did not succeed or you decided to roll back to the patched version, just select check the integrity of game files in the installed files tab. STEAM will automatically delete and download the necessary files.
RU: Если по каким-то причинам после замены файлов у вас ничего не получилось или вы решили откатиться на пропатченную версию, просто выберите проверку целостности файлов игры во вкладке установленные файлы. STEAM автоматически удалит и скачает необходимые файлы.

DEERE. Try logging into your profile on xbox.com or the xbox app or xbox companion in windows. Then, try logging into the game and checking your connection. This has worked for me.

Got the game functioning thanks to the guide, however logging in hit with "This profile could not be signed in to LIVE. There may be a network problem on the Windows Live ID service may not be available". Tried using wifi like LeoShaddz recommended, unfortunately no luck. Any help getting it to connect appreciated!

Играет кто ещё стимовскую версию с рабочей службой? Мне бы проверить соединение... 5-10 минут времени. Один игровой сеанс

I did replaced the files and deleted both xlive and now the game crashes... what a troublesome good game.

Некоторым помогло, на крайний случай поищи в зеленом стиме копию игры со всеми dlc, поменяй exeшник из моего архива и играй

После замены и удаления файлов что указаны в инстрцкциях игра вылетает с ошибкой что не хватает этого файла , так что способ не актуальный в 2025 годуу

И как теперь запустить игру? Почему CAPCOM всё усложняет? С ре5 всё отлично прокатило, после удаление LIVE, а в этой игре дичь какая-то.

LeoShaddz, Try to log in to the Xbox.com website using your profile, as well as in the Xbox application in Windows itself. Not the first time, but it helped
