It's pretty good now, at least compared to the catastrophic state at release. They patched it like a year ago

yeah it seems fine, obviously i'm not a native japanese person so I wouldn't have too much insight on whether or not there's some unnatural bits but for the most part it seems pretty good. how is the korean translation now?

Yeah, for the most part. I've started playing more games in japanese for practice, and it's been good (but unsurprisingly, challenging.) For this game I'd say I can understand ~70% without any outside help, and i'll look up stuff that is preventing me from understanding the functionality of a dice or some such.
