How to Conquer Whole Calradia in %149 Diffucility
By Denzelmet
Welcome to a veteran Mount and Blade Warband player's quide!
%149 diffucility, for perhaps most of us, is too hard for having finished a campaign
Despite too hard, as I justify people who think this way, there are some ways which make the game much easier.

1- Character Building
Character building is important because the way I will explain to you in this guide requires strength and intelligence in high levels.

So, to provide strength and intelligence I prefer these :

For father: Veteran warrior
The early life: A page at a nobleman's court
When you are an adult: University Student
And ''personal revenge'' for the end.

After we give attribute and skill points our character's stats and skills should be like this :

9 points for agility and charisma are sufficient for our game, agility is not important. I wouldn't even give it a 1 point but riding is important and charisma 9 allows you to improve your leadership up to 4 with the book and 4 points sufficient for us.

After we make agility and charisma 9, all the ways to strength for the early game since we will need intelligence for only middle-late and late game.

As to the skill points:
We won't use any skill point for party skills except for trainer because party skills, as it's understood from their name, can be provided with companions.
Here are skills we will keep highest as much as we are able to:
-Ironflesh
-Powerstrike
-Persuasion (for middle-late / late game)
-Trainer
-Inventory Management (4 points might be sufficient)
-Shield
-Leadership
-Prisoner Management
-Power Draw
( when you finally decide to found your own kingdom , improve it to the highest level)

We will need 3 companions:
++The first one is, of course, Jeremus for medical traits,
++The second one is Borcha for party speed and spoting,
++And the last one is any of the companions that are 1 level, we will use them for tactic skill ( Marnid and Alayen are useful ).

For none of the companions we will give any point for strength and that useless agility. Do not do that because companions aren't for fighting. There will be hundreds of soldiers on your side to fulfill that fighting work don't waste companions by making them a warrior.
Always keep your companions out of the fights they will be fine even without any fighting skill.

I don't exactly know if the priority affects the sharing of experience among the team but I always keep my companions on the highest position in the group section.

This character built is from my latest game that I finished:

For Companions:
2- Early Game / Main Aims
Main Aims:
-Honor
-Money
-Experience
-Relationship

We always have to grind for having our main aims had. These are the essences of the game.

Early Game Advices:

Early Game is the least fun stage of the game. This stage will pass by grinding for great aims by small abilities. However, it is surely worth it when we think the consequence of having our own kingdom, being the king is the best thing in this lovely game!
Anyways ;
We all know the basic things about whatever should be done or not in the early game so I don't go too spesific here :

- Always visit taverns till you find all the companions you need ,
- Tournaments are important ,
- You will need blunt weapons for slave trade, always try to have one more prisoner

(sea raiders bring you nearly 110 denars , so when you capture 15 of those guys and sell them and
you have a bloody 1500 denars)
- Destroying bandit lair quests are very important. They provide both a good amount of money and more importantly very good experience for both you and your companions.
- Always go with cavalry. For Early Game every melee cavalry types are fine.
- Open dyework workshops
3- Middle Stage of the Game
So we have come to a very dynamic and active stage from the dull Early Game.
As I have mentioned before, our main aims are always honor, experience, relationship and money. So the asses are had to be got up and one should chase these. Wherever and however you find these things, grind for them! Saving nobles, doing duties, winning tournaments, selling prisoners and loot... Whatever you can do for the main aims, you have to do those

- Open in ''each'' city dyeworks workshop ( only 2 or 3 of the cities won't have dyework workshop because of the balance sheet they will appear with )
- Grind very hard for Honor Money and Experience
- Go after captured nobles, find their relatives and take duties of saving them. This will provide you both honor ( which is very very important ) , relationship , money and experience
- Never loot a village and attack caravans not to lose honor.
4- Founding the Kingdom
After having a fine amount of money, level and a good rate for honor our game should be come close to the 300th day and in the 300th day kingdoms should be vulnerable anymore. When you think you and the conditions are ready, start having the best army you can have ( always prefer Swadian Knights ) and then found the kingdom.

I prefer Tevarin Castle since it's a Swadian castle ( Swadians weaken rapidly ) and has no borders with other kingdoms.

Tevarin Castle
5- How to Conquer a Castle
In %149 diffucility, conquering castles and cities is like impossible in this game since the garrisons consist of men from the best warrior class of the enemy kingdom. So, we will apply an abnormal way to conquer lands and all we need for this tactic is having a good bow, good archery skills and good tactic skill in companions.

When you get in a siege battle, keep your soldiers away from the enemy archers. Put your soldiers in a position that the enemy archers are able to be busy with them but not able to easily shoot them.
And you yourself get close to the castle and from an appropriate corner shoot enemy archers. Keep doing this untill the enemy archers are all dead and after this, the remaining work is very easy.
You are alone with melee infantry after you kill all the archers in the castle and since they are defender, they almost always don't leave the walls and just watch you as you kill them one by one by your bow.

You will fall many times while trying to eliminate enemy archers but this isn't a problem because your soldiers stay away from the castle and your group has a good tactic skill so almost noone will be harmed when you fall in a siege battle.

++ You always need to have a good amount of arrows.
this good amount can be provided from both archer soldiers, your companions and from yourself.
++ A good shield
++ Soldiers with shields
order your soldiers to use only blunt weapons to make them use their shields
++ Keeping your soldiers away from the castle while the enemy archers are able to shoot them
++ Always being careful for enemy archers

6- How to Defend the Kingdom
So you have done something and you are captured that castle and your enemies, with big armies, will be coming to a peasant claiming to be a king of dog-eat-dog land, to give a lesson and you barely have around 70 knights with you, what to do?

Once your enemies start gathering armies against you, charge and destroy army of marshal to prevent him gathering other lords. Then go for hunt for other lords and crush their armies as well. This will slow them down and let you have enough time to train more swadian knights or any other ''cavalry'' units.
However, unfortunately you can't always be busy with your enemies and they will somehow manage to gather armies or the king of your enemies will come up with 300+ men army in which numerous of the best units are found..
Here is where the tactic skill steps in
In this case, all you have to do is charging, then falling back. In every charge, with 20 swadian knights present, you can kill around 30 of your enemy without having a loss. You can, then, easily fall back with your courser horse without any handicap of falling back thanks to the tactic skill.

++First, try to seduce gathered enemy lords to individually attack you ,
++Always look for good landscape ,
++Charge and once you are remarkably away from your enemies fall back ,
++Make sure you are far from the battlefield before you fall back,
++Try to save every soldiers' life

Note: Always release enemy lords, good relationship is very important to have them betrayed to your side with their castles / cities. Don't release kings.

''a perfect time for pulling back''
7- How to Manage the Kingdom
So, we have come to do the last topic : How the kingdom should be ruled and managed

The only main thing to be careful about managing is ''relationship'' with lords. Honestly, you can do well without very good relationships with lords as long as they won't be in the mood of betraying you. However, I always prefer to have good relationships with my vassals.

If you prefer so as well, be careful about these :
++ Don't accept nobles to your kingdom who doesn't have +20 / +30 relationships with you ,
++ Don't give all the conquered lands to your vassals.

especially you, most of the time, should avoid giving villages to your vassals

If noone likes you just appoint a loved and renowned vassal to marshalship. they won't bring out any problem with other lords just because they don't like you.
Finishing
I hope you like my wording and advices and the guide overall
Thanks for reading.

Great Guide! I don't like playing on such a high difficulty, since it just feels like suffering to me. But Great Job!
