Story Mode Progress + Achievements

This section uses the official transfer tool. Requires Grand Theft Auto Legacy to be installed.
This is the safest option and will also transfer your story mode steam achievements.

Launch Grand Theft Auto Legacy and then story mode, Open the pause menu (ESC on keyboard / Start button on controller), Head to Game > Upload Save Game and choose the save file you want to upload. Pick the one with the most progress if you want the achievements.

Choose wisely you only get ONE save file slot (which can be overwritten repeatedly) however you are also limited to one import, once you import your save file into Grand Theft Auto V Enhanced the option to upload a new save file from Grand Theft Auto Legacy becomes unavailable.

After a successful upload you can now load this save file in Grand Theft Auto V Enhanced

Error: You must accept the latest Rockstar Games Online Policies

Solution: Load into your online character first to accept the new policies.

Online Character Progress + Achievements

You can only import your online progress once and only from the PC version of the game.

Launch Grand Theft Auto V Enhanced - Online and after a long unskippable cutscene the game will ask if you want to transfer your existing character, if this option doesn't exist you might need to launch your character in Grand Theft Auto V Legacy and accept those updated policies.

Note: Enter online mode from the main menu and not from singleplayer to see your character.

Your character and previously obtained online mode achievements will unlock if the transfer is successful, Sadly I don't know how to fix any issues with unsuccessful transfer attempts.

Save Files + Settings Location

The settings and save files for all your rockstar games are located here:

C:\Users\%USERNAME%\Documents\Rockstar Games

Grand Theft Auto Legacy:

C:\Users\%USERNAME%\Documents\Rockstar Games\GTA V

Grand Theft Auto V Enhanced:

C:\Users\%USERNAME%\Documents\Rockstar Games\GTAV Enhanced

I highly recommend you backup this entire folder before manually moving files around.
I have no idea if moving any story mode save files manually will transfer your achievements.

It's baffling that Rockstar doesn't provide players with this information from the get go.

Shame that it's such a hassle to play what is essentially the same game, but unfortunately these rereleases are seemingly becoming more common in the gaming industry.

I spent money on this and the game and I cant even play it. It wont let me play it just ran in the background went more than 2 hours when I tried to fix it,

I didn't even play and now i cant get my money back

Hello!
I have one problem: The game dont start in online mode.
Fisrt time, after instalation the new atualizations, im play something times, but today the game dont started. Somebody help me or why this happening?

Hi, so the achievements in steam are handled as 2 seperated games? For me i have the 2 doomsday achievements missing in my Legacy Version. But if i now import my saves to Enhance i will have to do these achievements in Legacy and in Enhanced??
So is it better to wait with the import and do the achievements in Legacy before and then switch to Enhanced? Or is it risky because maybe Rockstar will remove this import feature anytime?

Worked perfectly! Because Rockstar gave zero information I decided to manually transfer my save to GTA Enhanced. This worked but the Achievements wont unlock this way. While using the method from the guide I got the achievements now too.
