If you prefer to add your own splits and keep the default layout or build it yourself you probably want to skip this video!

Livesplit will need a component that supports Unity games "asl-help"

Follow the tutorial and jumpstart speedrunning Butcher's Creek in no time.
You'll want to activate the Load Removal plugin that's ready to use once you select the game and category from Livesplit under Edit Splits. Use Game Time (it prompts an automatic switch).

Complete the game as fast as possible:
The current category to run is Any%, which implies completing the game as quickly as possible using any means necessary. From pressing "New Game" to the ending sequence after touching The Watcher.
You're not allowed to externally modify the game or use saves outside of the New Game's run you started with.
Attempts require Video + Audio proof of the entire run.

What you need:
- Butcher's Creek (the game)
- OBS Studio (or other screen recording software)
OPTIONAL but RECOMMENDED:
- Livesplit (timing software that has Autosplit and Load Removal ready to use)

General introductory pointers:
- Play through the game casually at least twice to familiarize yourself with the layout
- Combat slows you down, avoid it when possible
- Try not to deplete the stamina, since it regenerates faster if you don't run out
