How to Corner the Market
By Pimpy Airdrop
Here I show you all how to corner the market and make capital gains with a simple four step program.

Step 1: Choose Your Item on the Market
This step is as easy as it sounds. Just choose an item for which you wish to corner the market on. In my case, it's the Nami emoticon from One Piece Pirate Warriors 3 (I will get into greater detail on this in step two).

A solid example of a good item to corner on the Steam Community Market might be the P250 | Sand Dune (Minimal Wear) due to its inexpensive bulk pricing.
Step 2: Buy Out All Reasonably Priced Competitors
Now that you've chosen your item, you're going to need to move on to the hard part of my four step process.

It's a dog-eat-dog world out there and there are a bunch of losers trying to take over your share of the market, so buy them out of the market! This may take a while, so I recommend starting a fresh watchthrough of One Piece at this time to keep you sane.
Step 3: Choose Your Price
Once you've bought out all the competition, nobody can stop you. You know what you have. NEVER accept a lowball offer.

Here are a few tactics that people may try to use on you now that you hold the market's majority:

1. "These used to sell for pennies, you can't just make the price a thousand dollars."
- My response to this one is simple. The price history has NOTHING to do with the current price. If the prospective buyer cannot afford it, then that's their fault for being broke.

2. "I'll trade you some items to pay for the one you have."
- We live in a free-market capitalist society, not some bartering market. You should be accepting cash only for the items you are selling. Otherwise, you're pushing yourself into a corner of the market that you don't maintain.

3. "This is an illegal monopoly."
- Just ignore these people. They are all bark and no bite. They won't get you into court for having a monopoly on your preferred item. This is blatant in the fact that they cannot afford it in the first place and as such couldn't afford bringing a tycoon like you into the courtroom.

Step 4: Maintain Control
Now that you've gained control of the market, it's your job to make sure nobody tries to take it from you. Buy out all future competitors without mercy and continue to sell, SELL, SELL!!!

It's not a glamorous life, but it's one with wealth, fame, and power! Take it all, and give it all back, all while making a quick buck!
